According to Decision No. 2777/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2025, of the Provincial People's Committee, the Steering Committee is tasked with advising and coordinating the implementation of solutions to improve the investment environment, analyzing PCI component indicators, and subsequently proposing solutions to overcome limitations and enhance the province's competitiveness.

The province has also implemented numerous activities to promote its investment environment, such as the programs "Lao Cai - Investment Destination," "Lao Cai - Advantages and Driving Forces for Development," etc., contributing to spreading the image of the locality to domestic and foreign business communities. In addition, provincial delegations have proactively surveyed and learned from international experiences, including cross-border economic cooperation models and the "one-stop inspection" customs clearance mechanism in China, in order to improve the efficiency of logistics and border trade.

Meanwhile, domestic investment projects also number over 1,400 active projects, with a total registered capital of hundreds of trillions of VND. These projects focus on key sectors such as processing industry, energy, tourism , logistics, and urban development, contributing to promoting the transformation of the local economy towards modernization and sustainability.

Local authorities are proactively paving the way to welcome businesses.

At the grassroots level, many localities have proactively reformed their approach to attracting investment. In Bat Xat commune, the local government has identified the development of inter-regional transportation infrastructure and the preparation of clean land as key factors in attracting businesses. The industrial park in the commune already has more than 40 businesses preparing to invest, with many large enterprises in the mining, metallurgy, and energy sectors operating effectively. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bat Xat commune, said: "In the coming time, the locality will continue to focus on attracting investment in logistics, warehousing, and social housing in the Ban Vuoc border gate area to take advantage of the development of an international trade gateway."

Meanwhile, Bac Ha commune focuses on development based on its strengths in tourism and agriculture. specialty.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Long, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, shared: “The most important factor now is building investor confidence through administrative procedure reforms, enhancing the responsibility of implementing officials, preparing clean land funds, and developing stable, highly predictable incentive policies.”
