In mid-January 2024, the Fatherland Front Committee of Y La Ward was the first unit in the province to organize a grassroots-level congress. This was a pilot grassroots-level congress for the province. Following the success of the Y La Ward Fatherland Front Congress, the Fatherland Front committees of districts and cities selected communes, wards, and towns to hold pilot congresses to gain experience and organize congresses in their localities. To date, the organization of grassroots-level Fatherland Front congresses has been completed throughout the province.

Ms. Do Thi Thuy, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Y La Ward, said: Along with thorough preparation for the congress, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has set 10 main targets for the new term, including: annually, each residential area will have one exemplary project or task; 100% of poor and near-poor households, and households affected by natural disasters or incidents in the area will receive support and assistance from the Fatherland Front Committee; support for the repair of 4 solidarity houses for poor households; annually, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward will preside over at least one monitoring program or activity; the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward will organize at least one social critique conference and one dialogue conference between the Party Committee, the government and the people...

Comrade Nguyen Hung Vuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, congratulated the Fatherland Front Congress of Y La Ward.

Comrade Trieu Duc Long, Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Chiêm Hóa District Fatherland Front Committee, stated that the preparation and organization of the congresses in the localities were quite proactive and thorough. Personnel matters and congress documents were meticulously prepared in accordance with regulations. Monitoring showed that the congress programs and content closely followed the guidelines from higher levels. This included monitoring the implementation of resolutions; affirming achievements, exemplary models, and new factors; and clearly identifying limitations, shortcomings, causes, and lessons learned. This served as an important foundation for the district to successfully organize the District Fatherland Front Congress. In particular, to celebrate the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the district organized and launched a special emulation campaign to encourage all strata of the people to participate in achieving accomplishments to welcome the congress with many specific projects and tasks associated with the emulation contents focusing on social welfare, poverty reduction support, participation in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas...

“As an important political event, in addition to the main contents of the congress, propaganda, decoration, ceremonial arrangements, and logistics are also given special attention by localities. Many communes also display OCOP products, local specialties, documents, and images about the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front during the past term for delegates to visit and learn about, contributing to the success of the congress,” Comrade Trieu Duc Long added.

Spreading the spirit of emulation to welcome the Congress.

Yen Son District was the first unit to organize a District-level Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and was selected by the Provincial VFF as a model congress. With the spirit of "Unity, Discipline, Democracy, Innovation, and Development," the 21st Congress of the VFF of Yen Son District, for the 2024-2029 term, took place in a solemn and democratic atmosphere. It was an important political event with a widespread impact on all strata of the population regarding the building of national unity. The Congress was conducted in accordance with the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, openly, and in compliance with regulations and rules, based on the approved personnel plan. The political report was concise, comprehensive, and fully reflected the current situation of all strata of the population and the national unity bloc in the locality. At the Congress, the Standing Committee and members of the District VFF Committee were democratically elected through consultation, consisting of individuals with sufficient capacity, qualities, and credibility among the people.

Comrade Tang Thi Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, shared: The Yen Son District Fatherland Front Congress was organized in accordance with the directives of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the guidance of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, ensuring solemnity, quality, and creativity. The draft documents and political report were meticulously prepared and invested in by the District Fatherland Front Committee, reviewed, compiled, and opinions were gathered from all strata of the people through meetings in villages and residential areas; focusing on comprehensively evaluating the results of the Fatherland Front's tasks in the past term. Based on that, solutions and key tasks for the next term were proposed, contributing to promoting the role and responsibility of gathering and promoting the strength of national unity in achieving goals and tasks.

Comrade Ha Phuc Son, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Binh district, expressed: "From the pilot congress of Yen Son district, the Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Binh district has studied and meticulously prepared the documents and personnel for the Congress according to the guidelines, being creative in propaganda and spreading the spirit of emulation in building the great national unity bloc..."

In the spirit of democracy and responsibility, localities in the province have been actively preparing for the organization of the Fatherland Front congresses at all levels, so that the congresses truly become a broad political activity, creating a strong transformation in the awareness, responsibility, and actions of the entire political system and all strata of the people, affirming the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period. According to information from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, as of now, the entire province has completed the Fatherland Front congresses at the commune level, and one district-level unit has completed its congress. From now until the end of May 2024, the province will basically complete the Fatherland Front congresses at the district level.

Along with thorough and serious preparations in accordance with regulations for organizing the congress, localities are also actively launching emulation movements and implementing specific projects and tasks to celebrate the congress. Together with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, each district and commune-level locality in the province has at least one project or task demonstrating innovation and creativity in effectively performing the functions and tasks of the Fatherland Front. All of this creates a vibrant atmosphere of emulation to welcome the Fatherland Front Congress at all levels, leading up to the 15th Tuyen Quang Provincial Fatherland Front Congress and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.
