Tourism in the scenic area of Thach Ha

Thach Ha District is located in the central eastern part of Ha Tinh Province, with a total area of 355.03 km2 and a population of 137,870 people. It surrounds Ha Tinh City, bordered to the north by Can Loc and Loc Ha districts, to the south by Cam Xuyen district and Ha Tinh City, to the west by Huong Khe district, and to the east by the East Sea. It is 350 km from Hanoi and 45 km northwest of Vinh City.

Thach Ha is an ancient land with a history spanning over 1010 years, boasting a rich cultural and historical tradition with many notable figures such as Doctor Tran Danh To, Tran Danh Binh, and the Chancellor of the National Academy, Phan Ung Toan. Nguyen Hoc, Minister of War and Academician of the Imperial Academy, and the hero Ly Tu Trong… Currently, Thach Ha has 6 national-level historical and cultural relics and 72 provincial-level historical and cultural relics, notably: the Temple of Chieu Trung Dai Vuong Le Khoi, the Ly Tu Trong Church, the Mai Kinh House relic, the Truong Quoc Dung University Church, the Thach Lac archaeological site… Furthermore, it boasts many famous scenic spots such as: Quynh Vien scenic area, Nam Gioi Mountain, Thach Hai Beach, Khe Xai Lake… In Thach Ha, tourists can also visit many traditional craft villages such as Thach Long weaving village, Phu Viet conical hat village, or experience new rural tourism in model residential areas, model gardens, Tuong Son commune administrative center, Thach Van commune's vegetable and fruit production, Ngoc Son and Thach Ngoc commune's hill garden economy … to feel the peaceful atmosphere of a countryside blending tradition and modernity.

THACH HAI BEACH – QUYNH VIEN

With a 4km long coastline, Thach Hai beach boasts fine white sand, clear blue water, and gentle waves, all blending with the rustling of the vast green casuarina forest. Heading north from the beach is Nam Gioi Mountain – associated with the folk legend of Chu Dong Tu and Tien Dung, the Fairy Chessboard, and Khe Hao Hao, with its cool water once offered to the king… Here, visitors can also explore, relax, and experience many attractive recreational activities at the picturesque Quynh Vien Eco-tourism Area.

KHE XAI LAKE

The Khe Xai Reservoir, part of the Khe Giao irrigation system in Thach Xuan commune, began construction in September 2010. The reservoir has a capacity of over 40 million cubic meters of water, irrigating 980 hectares of cultivated land in Thach Xuan, Nam Huong, and several other communes in the northern part of Thach Ha district. This is not only an important irrigation project but also an ideal and attractive ecotourism destination for visitors.

CHIEU TRUNG DAI VUONG LE KHOI TEMPLE

Located halfway up the Long Ngam mountain range, Chieu Trung Temple is considered one of the four most famous and sacred temples in Nghe An province: "Corn Temple, Qua Temple, Bach Ma Temple, Chieu Trung Temple". The temple was built in the year Dinh Mao, Thai Hoa 5th year (1447), to worship Chieu Trung Dai Vuong Le Khoi - a talented general who helped King Le fight invaders and defend the country. This place is famous for its sacredness, the artistic value of its architecture, and captivates people with the harmonious beauty of the majestic mountains, sea, and sky. The temple was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural relic in 1990.

CINNAMON TEMPLE

Located in Phuc Tien village, Thach Tien commune, the temple is dedicated to Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang, a man of great virtue and talent, highly regarded by the court and beloved by the people. Built during the Le Dynasty, the temple boasts unique architectural features and was classified as a National Monument in 2009. The Nen Temple Festival is held annually on the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month, the anniversary of the death of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang.

TRUONG BAT TEMPLE

Located in Hamlet 1, Ngoc Son Commune, Truong Bat Temple is a place of worship for the Second Holy Mother of the Mountains, also known as Princess Loc Hoa or Lady Loc. The temple also houses shrines to the First Holy Mother of Heaven (Mother Lieu Hanh) and the Third Holy Mother of the Water Realm (Mother Thoai), hence it is popularly known as the Three Holy Mothers Temple. Truong Bat Temple is a place where the spiritual beauty of many artistic structures blends harmoniously with the majestic natural landscape.

LY TU TRONG HEROIC MARTYR MEMORIAL AREA

Located in Tan Long village, Viet Xuyen commune, the Ly Tu Trong Memorial Area was classified as a National Historical Monument in 2014. This project, undertaken by young people nationwide and the people of the province, aims to honor the heroic sacrifice of Ly Tu Trong – the first member of the Communist Youth Union. The memorial area serves as a cultural, historical, and spiritual tourist destination, as well as a significant site for educating Vietnamese youth in the new era about patriotic traditions and revolutionary ideals.

NEW RURAL EXPERIENTIAL TOURISM

In Thach Ha, tourists can explore new rural tourism models at village cultural centers, commune administrative centers, model residential areas, and model gardens with green fences designed and built according to the standards of the New Rural Development program in Tuong Son commune. They can also visit vegetable and fruit cultivation models on sandy soil in Thach Van and Thach Tri communes, and livestock farms and fruit orchards in Thach Dai, Thach Ngoc, and Ngoc Son communes. This new type of tourism will provide visitors with exciting and unforgettable experiences.

CUISINE
