Xuan Son commune, Tan Son district, has a unique geographical location within the core area of Xuan Son National Park. The majority of the commune's population are ethnic Muong and Dao people with unique cultural characteristics, which are advantages for developing community-based tourism . Three provincial-level tourist destinations – Du village community-based tourism site, Coi village community-based ecotourism site, and Ngoc Waterfall ecotourism site – are interesting destinations that attract tourists to Xuan Son.

Xuan Son Tourism - Interesting Destinations The dances and songs of the Muong people in Xuan Son create a highlight that "captivates" tourists.

Visiting the Bản Dù community tourism destination this season, tourists will travel along the "Xuân Sơn Flower Tourism Road," lined on both sides with vibrant red Trạng Nguyên flowers – one of the highlights of the Xuân Sơn tour. The Dù area is a long-standing settlement of the Dao and Mường people, boasting a unique culture ranging from traditional clothing and folk performing arts to cuisine with many specialties such as multi-toed chickens, Ri chickens, hill chickens, stream ducks, wild boars, hybrid wild pigs, fern vegetables, bamboo shoots... and traditional Dao herbal remedies. The Dù area has 6 homestays and food services. These homestays have invested in facilities, received training in ecotourism and community tourism services, and have established folk art clubs and performance groups to serve visiting tourists. The Bản Dù tourist destination is managed by the Xuân Sơn Commune People's Committee and annually welcomes over 20,000 tourists.

The Bản Cỏi community-based ecotourism site is managed by Xuân Sơn National Park. Located in the Thang stream basin, Bản Cỏi includes the Cỏi cave and bathing area, the Đất cave, and the Cẩn mountain range from the summit of Cẩn mountain to Cỏi cave. This area attracts the most tourists because it boasts a unique and attractive ecotourism resource, including the natural forest ecosystem, Cỏi cave, the natural bathing area at the entrance to Cỏi cave, Đất cave, Cẩn mountain peak, and the natural forest ecosystem on Đá mountain. Cỏi cave, in particular, is over 4km long, with a stream flowing from inside to outside, supplied by rock crevices in the Cẩn mountain range. The cave contains many beautiful stalactites and can be explored by boat. Adventurous tourists can also explore Cẩn mountain peak, 1,144m high, with its limestone forest ecosystem. From the summit, one can observe the entire Tân Sơn district, the Hòa Bình hydroelectric power plant, and more.

In addition, in Bản Cỏi village, the local community still preserves many cultural features of the Dao ethnic group, such as the coin dance, the coming-of-age ceremony, and traditional costumes. Particularly noteworthy are the two ancient Shorea trees in the center of the village, considered spiritual trees over 1,000 years old, which have been recognized as Vietnamese heritage trees.

Ngoc Waterfall Ecotourism Area, managed by Xuan Son National Park, boasts outstanding natural scenic attractions such as Ngoc Waterfall, Na Cave, Tho Than Cave, Bat Cave, Banana Cave, heritage trees, Lap Stream, and pristine natural forests. The main highlight is Ngoc Waterfall – a waterfall formed by Lap Stream flowing from the crevices at the foot of Can and Ten Mountains, reaching a height of over 20 meters. The water cascades down in a white foam, supplied year-round by streams flowing through the mountains. At the foot of the waterfall is a lake covering over 200 square meters, creating a beautiful and unspoiled swimming area. Na Cave is formed by the precipitation of limestone, creating "custard apple"-shaped formations, terraced fields inside the cave, and beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, resulting in unique and eye-catching shapes that attract visitors.

Legend says that Na Cave is where Mother Au Co lived when she led her 50 children to the forest, and the terraced fields symbolize her teaching the mountain people how to cultivate terraced rice paddies. The "na" fruits symbolize nine-toed chicken eggs. Not far from there, Tho Than Cave, located halfway up Voi Mountain in Lap hamlet, is divided into three chambers and features many beautiful stalactites with unusual shapes. Some stalactites form "Buddha statues" as if sculpted by humans. Currently, the cave has been equipped with lighting to serve visitors. At Ngoc Waterfall eco-tourism site, visitors cannot miss the "Heritage Tree Cluster" with 20 ancient ironwood trees, over 1,000 years old.

In Xuan Son, visitors can immerse themselves in nature, appreciate its beauty, enjoy the fresh air, climb waterfalls, bathe in streams, and explore the rich cultural identity of the area. The caves, cascading waterfalls, and crystal-clear streams add to the poetic beauty of the landscape, along with the intangible cultural heritage of the Muong and Dao ethnic groups, creating a highlight that attracts tourists to Xuan Son and contributes to the development of tourism in Tan Son.
