I am a firefighter.

To commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1980 - May 19, 2025), the Hoan Kiem District Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Team, in coordination with the Women's Association of the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police, organized a public awareness campaign in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity.

A mobile exhibition promoting fire prevention and firefighting will be held in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity on weekend mornings from May 17th to June 1st, 2025.

At the pedestrian area at the intersection of Hang Khay and Le Thai To streets (Hang Trong ward, Hoan Kiem district), residents, students, and tourists are being educated about fire safety and emergency response procedures.

Students and local residents visited an art exhibition depicting firefighting and rescue operations.

The public had the opportunity to directly observe and learn about the features and functions of some specialized fire fighting equipment such as: fire trucks; fire pumps, breathing apparatus, gas masks, etc.

Representatives from the Hoan Kiem District Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Team - Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Police Department - provided information and guidance on fire prevention and firefighting.

The children were excited to experience being firefighters and rescue workers.

Le Minh Quan, a student at Vinschool Primary School, shared: "I really admire the firefighters who bravely rushed into fires to save people and property. I will try my best to study hard and diligently practice sports to achieve my dream of becoming a firefighter."

Several photographs depicting fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations are on display to help residents and tourists better understand the hardships and dangers faced by firefighters when battling fires. They also highlight the severe damage to lives and property caused by fires, thereby raising awareness of fire prevention and control within families and communities.

The traveling propaganda exhibition attracted the attention of the public.

Through its awareness campaigns, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police aims to raise public awareness of fire prevention, fighting, and rescue work, teaching people how to escape and how to organize firefighting and rescue operations in the event of a fire.
