Bellingham's younger brother was devastated.

Jobe Bellingham is struggling at Dortmund amidst family pressure, difficulties fitting in, and the enormous shadow cast by his older brother Jude.

Family issues prevented Jobe from playing football freely.

Jobe had a rocky start at Dortmund, when he should have been following in the footsteps of his brother Jude. Instead of a successful journey, the 20-year-old became bogged down in personal problems and struggled to adapt to his new environment.

Joining Dortmund in June for £27 million on a five-year contract, Jobe was expected to become Jude's successor. However, after just nine games, he has yet to score or provide an assist and has frequently been benched under coach Niko Kovac.

His Bundesliga debut in August ended in disappointment when Jobe was substituted after the first half in a draw against St. Pauli. His father, Mark Bellingham, was so angry that he directly complained to Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl.

Dortmund later issued a statement asserting that "the professional area is reserved for players, coaches, and management only, not for family or agents." Some sources in Germany claimed that Mark was even "barred" from the dressing room after the incident.

Jude has yet to score or assist for Dortmund.

Bild revealed that Mark has frequently expressed frustration about his son's limited playing time, with Jobe ranking behind Felix Nmecha, Marcel Sabitzer, and Pascal Grob in the midfield selection. However, according to the Daily Mail , the real reason lies in "personal issues" as his parents – Mark and Denise – are reportedly separated for many years and now live in two different countries.

A source told the British newspaper: "The coaching staff have noticed that Jobe is being affected by family issues. He's having difficulty integrating, barely communicating with his teammates, and often staying home alone. The tense atmosphere at home is impacting his performance on the pitch."

Although there has been no official confirmation, Jobe's loneliness in Germany is causing concern among experts. Having once called his parents "wonderful people" and his "biggest idols" in his career, Jobe is now mentally broken and struggling to rediscover the joy of playing football.

Jobe needs to quickly regain his balance both on and off the pitch. Jobe's future at Dortmund is still wide open, but he needs to prove that character is what makes a star, not the Bellingham name on his shirt.
