At the workshop, experts clearly analyzed ESG Marcom, a concept that combines marketing with the implementation of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainable development standards. Through marketing activities, businesses demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development to investors, shareholders, customers, and the community.
During the workshop, many opinions suggested that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face numerous difficulties in implementing ESG Marcom, such as a lack of financial resources for technological innovation, a workforce already juggling multiple roles, and the fact that the ESG standards encompass many areas, making understanding and applying them to reports challenging.
In response to this question, many businesses attending the workshop shared their experiences and perspectives on implementing ESG. Marcom needs to implement it step by step, starting with small, low-cost activities that leverage various social resources to work together towards a common goal. They also emphasized the need for creative and flexible communication and marketing campaigns to make the ESG concept easy to understand and relatable to consumers.
Businesses also emphasized the role of the media in promoting successful ESG implementation models and effective circular economy practices, helping to replicate these good models in many localities.
Also at the conference, experts introduced the Marketing for Development Awards 2025. This is the 4th edition of the award, recognizing marketing professionals and media creators involved in marketing/communication campaigns aimed at sustainable development goals. The aim is to encourage and promote the marcom community to integrate sustainable development values into their business and organizational planning and implementation, working together towards achieving Net Zero.
