The 'Colors of Vietnam - Japan' contest
The "Vietnam-Japan Colors" contest, themed "Two Colors - One Journey," will take place from March 12th to March 30th, 2026. The program is open to students from universities and colleges nationwide, encouraging young people to explore cultural values and develop creative ideas for promoting Japanese tourism . Contestants can register by following the instructions on the program's official fanpage.
The preliminary round (April 1st - April 12th, 2026), themed " Exploring the Colors of the Region," requires teams to research and analyze the distinctive cultural elements of their locality, leveraging indigenous values as a foundation for developing their ideas.
During the challenge round (April 13 - April 19, 2026), teams will develop and refine tour products related to the competition theme. The final round is scheduled for April 25, 2026, where the best-performing teams will present their projects to the judging panel.
Besides the main competition, the program is expected to include experiential activities such as displaying regional images, introducing cuisine and handicrafts, showcasing traditional costumes and musical instrument performances, contributing to creating a vibrant cultural exchange space.
The judging panel comprises representatives from the organizing committee, tourism training schools, and experts in the tourism field. Entries will be evaluated based on criteria such as content, creativity, applicability, and communication effectiveness.
The total prize value of the competition is over 500 million VND. This includes a first prize of 20 million VND; a second prize of 10 million VND; and a third prize of 5 million VND. Two additional prizes, "Most Popular Video" and "Most Creative Idea," are also awarded, each worth 3 million VND.
In addition to the main prizes, the top 50 teams will receive a Japan travel voucher worth 2 million VND per member, valid for use between April and June 2026.
The organizers hope that "Colorful Vietnam - Japan" will become an annual event, contributing to the formation of a network of students interested in international cultural exchange and tourism, and also contributing new ideas for the development of the tourism industry in the future.
