Film series commemorating major holidays in 2026

The film screening commemorating major holidays in 2026 and the Quang Ninh Film Week to welcome summer will take place at 7:00 PM on April 25, 2026, at the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center. It is organized by the Vietnam Film Department, in coordination with the Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, cultural and artistic centers nationwide, Viettel Telecom, and the TV360 platform, and will run from April 25 to May 23, 2026.

In anticipation of the major holidays of April 30th, May 1st, May 7th, and May 19th, this film series carries profound socio-political significance, contributing to the education of historical traditions, fostering patriotism, solidarity, and national pride.

Through carefully selected films of high artistic quality, humanistic content, and wholesome entertainment, the film festival spreads positive cultural values, vividly reflects social life, history, and national traditions, meets the people's need for cultural and spiritual enjoyment, and creates an atmosphere of excitement leading up to major political events in 2026.

This is one of the opening activities of the "Quang Ninh Province Culture, Sports and Tourism Week to welcome summer 2026" with the theme "Ha Long Carnival 2026 - A wonder shining brightly in a new era".

A new feature of this year's film festival is the expanded approach to reaching audiences. In addition to mobile screenings in 34 provinces and cities, the films are also being released on the TV360 digital platform, helping to spread them more widely to the public.

The film program includes a wide variety of genres. Feature films include "The Tunnel - The Sun in the Darkness" (Hoan Khue Film Production Joint Stock Company), and documentaries such as "Following in My Father's Footsteps" (Vietking Media Joint Stock Company), "Doctors on the Island Commune" (Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company), "Veterans of the Old Quarter" (HDA Film Company Limited), "Do Paper - The Journey Home", and "Two Fronts" (Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio).

The animated film section includes "Little Boy," "The Promise of Dien Bien," "Warm Glow," "Colorful Marbles," and "Poocbaga," produced by Vietnam Animation Film Joint Stock Company. Notably, the film "Tunnels - The Sun in the Darkness" was selected to be screened at the Opening Ceremony.
