"Taste of the Sea" Food Festival

The "Taste of the Sea" food festival will be held at Tam Thanh Beach Square (Quang Phu Ward, Da Nang City) from May 22nd to 24th, combining a space for experiencing marine culture, local cuisine, and various performances and entertainment activities for tourists.

The festival, chaired by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Quang Phu Ward People's Committee, the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association, and other relevant units, aims to develop tourism products linked to local resources.

The festival space is designed to recreate the life of a fishing village with familiar images such as basket boats, fishing nets, and displays of fresh seafood, helping visitors get closer to the rhythm of life and culture of the sea.

The highlight of the program is the food court, which brings together many local seafood processing establishments, serving dishes made from ingredients caught daily. Grilled, steamed, and boiled dishes are prepared in a traditional way, preserving their distinctive flavors while creating a direct connection between the chefs and the diners.

Simultaneously, over 50 stalls participated in displaying OCOP products, specialties, and souvenirs, notably dried seafood, traditional fish sauce, and handicrafts made from seashells and snails. This activity contributes to expanding the market for local products and creates an additional stop for tourists on their experiential journey.

The festival also features experiential activities, folk games, a beer tasting area, and evening art performances, creating a community space and contributing to extending the length of stay for tourists in the Tam Thanh beach area.

According to Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward, the locality hopes to better showcase the image of the Tam Thanh coastal area, its connection with the lives of fishermen, and its distinctive culinary values ​​through the festival.
