Thầy Pagoda Festival 2026
The Thầy Pagoda Festival 2026 will take place in Quoc Oai commune (from April 19th to 23rd, or the 3rd to 7th day of the 3rd lunar month). The opening ceremony, the cultural and tourism week, the promotion of traditional craft products, and unique artistic programs, along with the first-ever 3D Mapping light show "Light Touching Memories," will offer a rich series of events, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity, promising to attract both locals and tourists from all over.
The opening ceremony and inauguration of the Culture and Tourism Week will kick off a series of activities lasting several days, creating a highlight right from the start. The opening art program is elaborately staged, bringing together a large number of artists and performers, promising a vibrant and emotionally rich atmosphere.
Within the framework of this year's festival, a series of cultural, artistic, and experiential activities will be organized continuously, creating a diverse "series of events" to serve a wide range of visitors.
Highlights include art performances, traditional ao dai fashion shows, cultural exchanges, and folk dances, all organized throughout the festival. These are not only entertainment activities but also contribute to honoring the beauty of traditional culture in contemporary life.
Simultaneously, a space for promoting local craft products and specialties will also be opened, introducing visitors to OCOP products, handicrafts, and traditional cuisine. This activity will create an attractive tourist destination while also contributing to promoting trade connections and showcasing the local image.
Notably, the 2026 Thầy Pagoda Festival will have a completely new highlight: an artistic light show combining 3D mapping technology with the theme "Light Touching Memories".
The program, scheduled to take place on the evening of the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month at the courtyard of Thầy Pagoda, marks the first time modern technology has been incorporated into the space of this ancient historical site. Through lighting and visual effects, the historical stories and cultural values of Thầy Pagoda and the Đoài region will be vividly recreated, offering a fresh experience for the public. This is considered a highlight that will differentiate this year's festival, while also opening up a creative approach to preserving and promoting heritage values.
The festival continues to maintain characteristic activities such as water puppetry, Quan Ho folk singing, folk games, etc., contributing to recreating the cultural space of the Northern Vietnamese countryside, bringing a feeling of closeness and familiarity to visitors.
With its unique series of events, rich content, and innovative organization, the Thầy Pagoda Festival 2026 is expected to become a prominent destination in the capital during the third lunar month.
