Hanoi Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival

The flower and bonsai festival, recreating the Vietnamese Tet holiday and the soul of the Vietnamese people, will take place from February 5th to 11th at the Astronomical Park with the theme "Vietnamese Tet - The Soul of the Vietnamese People".

The event is a typical cultural activity to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and also creates a cultural and ecological highlight to serve the people and tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse.

Spanning approximately 7,000 square meters, the festival is meticulously organized, harmoniously blending artistic flower and plant displays, OCOP product introductions, and the recreation of traditional cultural spaces. At the center of the festival is a model of an ancient Northern Vietnamese house along with a solemn ancestral worship area, evoking family traditions, filial piety, and the core values ​​that define the Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) identity.

In particular, the festival will showcase hundreds of unique floral and bonsai creations introduced by renowned artisans and gardeners. The meticulously crafted peach blossoms, kumquats, apricot blossoms, orchids, daffodils, and other flowers will both honor natural beauty and demonstrate the skill and dedication of the artisans.

In addition, artistic displays, the Year of the Horse mascot, and spring flower gardens are arranged harmoniously, creating a vibrant spring scene in the heart of the city.

Alongside the flower and ornamental plant exhibition, the festival features 100 stalls, including 50 showcasing regional products and specialties, and 50 displaying flowers and ornamental plants to cater to the needs of visitors for viewing and shopping during Tet (Lunar New Year).

The traditional cultural experience space is a highlight of the festival. Visitors can witness and participate in activities such as erecting the New Year's pole, wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), reenacting the ritual of worshiping the Kitchen God and the Stove God; enjoying tea with narcissus flowers; receiving auspicious calligraphy for the new year; watching the making of clay figurines, and printing Dong Ho folk paintings…

The 2026 Hanoi Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival is not only a place to enjoy the beauty of spring and shop for Tet (Vietnamese New Year), but also a cultural space rich in meaning, honoring the enduring values ​​of Vietnamese Tet.

By recreating the "essence of the Vietnamese people" through the language of flowers, plants, and traditional customs, the festival contributes to spreading love for national culture, fostering pride, and strengthening community bonds in the early days of the new year.
