The 2025 Lotus Village Festival takes place from May 10-19 in Vinh city and Nam Dan district (Nghe An province) and is organized on a national scale with many rich and unique activities to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

This is an important political and cultural activity, expressing the people's gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh.

This year's ceremony includes traditional activities such as: offering flowers at Uncle Ho's statue, marching to Uncle Ho's hometown, offering incense at the Memorial House and Chung Son Temple, and carrying Uncle Ho's portrait from the Memorial House to Lang Sen Stadium.

The festival was exciting with the opening and closing art programs, the "Journey following Uncle Ho's footsteps - For the security of the Fatherland" Run, the "ASEAN Country and People" Photo Exhibition, the "Sen Village Singing Festival" Performance, the National Wrestling Championship, mass sports activities...

One of the important highlights was the inauguration ceremony of the “Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown” Monument – ​​a project donated by the Ministry of Public Security, located at the exact place where Uncle Ho spoke to the people twice when he visited his hometown. The statue is made of hydraulically pressed bronze, over 10m high, depicting the simple, familiar image of Uncle Ho, promising to become a special cultural symbol in Nghe An.

Along with that, the 9-storey waterfall at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan – President Ho Chi Minh’s mother – will also be inaugurated on this occasion. Each waterfall floor is carved with a flower, symbolizing gratitude to Uncle Ho’s hard-working mother.

For the first time, the festival will feature a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display at Lang Sen Stadium after the opening ceremony, promising to bring an exciting atmosphere to locals and visitors.

Another notable highlight is the “Love Vietnam” project jointly implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper and technology partners at Kim Lien Relic Site. The project uses NFC chips and interactive boards to help visitors easily explore historical information using smartphones.

The Sen Village Festival is an important political and cultural activity, expressing the people's gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural celebrity; an opportunity to propagate and educate Ho Chi Minh's ideology; continue to implement the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"; at the same time introduce and promote the culture of Sen Village, Nghe An homeland to friends and tourists at home and abroad; propagate and educate Ho Chi Minh's ideology. The Sen Village Festival has long been a source of culture that flows endlessly on the land of Nghe An, "a land of talented people".

The highlight is the art program to open this year's Sen Village Festival with the theme "Monument in millions of hearts" and the first 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display in Uncle Ho's hometown. The theme is associated with the inauguration event of the monument "Uncle Ho visits his hometown".

Originating from everyday activities, the Lotus Village Festival has continuously developed over four decades, becoming a cultural symbol, a convergence space, where the past and present blend, where cultural values ​​are honored through each activity and each solemn ritual. Every year, each lotus blooming season is not only a festival season, but also a continuation of the cultural flow, an opportunity for millions of Vietnamese hearts to turn to Lotus Village to listen to His story, to feel the love of the land and the warm love of people.
