Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 (DIFF 2026), themed “Da Nang - United Horizons,” will take place from May 30th to July 11th, 2026, with five qualifying rounds and one final round. The opening night on May 30th will feature performances by the Da Nang International Fireworks Team from Vietnam and the Chinese team. Subsequent competition nights will include: France vs. Vietnam (June 6th), Japan vs. Italy (June 13th), Germany vs. Macau (June 20th), and Australia vs. Portugal (June 27th). The two best teams will compete in the final round on July 11th, 2026.

The festival is held in the Han River Port area (fireworks display location) and the sidewalk of Tran Hung Dao Street (grandstand, stage). The opening night on May 30th will begin with a competition between the Da Nang International Fireworks Team (Vietnam) and the reigning DIFF 2025 champion, Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd. from China. This opening match is considered by DIFF enthusiasts to be the "most exciting" among all the opening matches of the fireworks festival.

DIFF 2026 also marks a major upgrade to the stage, with a width of up to 100m, an area of ​​nearly 1,200m², and a capacity of approximately 10,000 people, considered the largest in history. The highlight is the central lifting and lowering arch system, over 40m wide and over 10m high, the largest in the event's history, capable of moving in less than 70 seconds.

Notably, for the first time, DIFF takes the audience's experience beyond the limits of a mere visual performance. Through the Sun Paradise Land app, viewers can create "digital gifts" for themselves and their loved ones by designing digital postage stamps and electronic postcards with messages using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, helping to capture brilliant and exciting commemorative moments with the fireworks.
