Exhibition "Vietnamese Coins - Journey along the flow of national history" with 1,500 Vietnamese coin artifacts.
The exhibition “Vietnamese Currency - Journey through the flow of national history” officially opened at the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Branch, Region 2, at 8 Vo Van Kiet, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition is open free of charge on weekends from November 22, 2025 to the end of April 2026 , for visitors aged 14 and over.
This is an event organized by the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 branch, to introduce to the public typical artifacts of Vietnamese currency through the periods associated with the development stages of the country.
The exhibition displays more than 1,500 artifacts from 1875 to the present, such as Indochina banknotes, Uncle Ho banknotes, resistance money, promissory notes, purchase vouchers, coins... to polymer money. Each coin and banknote depicts the image of the country, people, culture, and spirit of Vietnam, thereby creating a big picture of the historical flow of the nation, the history of a resilient, simple, and proud country.
In the framework of the exhibition, in addition to the historical stories of Vietnamese currency through the ages, the public is also introduced to the traditional space of the banking industry and the digitalized Ho Chi Minh cultural space. Through the interactive screen, the public has the opportunity to better understand the history of the formation and development of the Vietnamese banking system, along with valuable lessons on Uncle Ho's ideology, ethics and style.
