(PLVN) - On the afternoon of November 7th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province held a press conference to inform the media about the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors".

The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 is a cultural and tourism festival of Lam Dong province, organized to promote the image of the culture, people, and tourism of Da Lat - Lam Dong to domestic and international tourists. This is a provincial-level cultural and tourism event aiming for national and international scale, taking place throughout 2024, with a peak in December 2024.

Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said: "This is not only a festival for the people of Lam Dong province but also a meeting place for domestic and international tourists to experience the unique cultural and tourism values ​​of Da Lat. At the same time, it continues to affirm and honor the values ​​of flowers and the flower cultivation industry in Da Lat - Lam Dong; creating opportunities for those who grow, produce, and trade flowers, vegetables, and other distinctive agricultural products of Lam Dong to interact, exchange, and develop their industries in the trend of international integration, green and sustainable practices."

This year's festival features 10 main programs, including: the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; the New Year's Eve 2025 Art Program combined with the Closing Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; Flower Space; the International Conference "Da Lat: Developing Green Tourism and Cultural Industries from Biodiversity and Local Culture Resources" ; the Art Program: Bao Loc, the City of Huong Tra - Silk, welcoming the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; the Exhibition and Trade Promotion of OCOP products of the Da Lat Flower Festival 2024; the Wine - Tea - Coffee Street and specialties of Da Lat - Lam Dong; the Da Lat Vegetable and Flower Market - a miraculous crystallization from fertile land; the Da Lat - Chuncheon ( South Korea ) International Cultural and Artistic Exchange; and the Flower and Heritage Street Carnival (Flower float parade, floral fashion, street art).

Mr. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, informed that the province will not use state budget funds to organize the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, thanks to the joint efforts of the entire society. Therefore, the programs of this year's Da Lat Flower Festival will be implemented by businesses, organizations, associations, and individuals; the festival's products will include both intangible and tangible items with long-lasting value. The province has meticulously and promptly prepared for the festival, including ensuring food safety for visitors, hotel accommodation, security and order, and traffic safety. The festival is expected to attract approximately 2 million visitors, including about 60,000 international tourists to Da Lat.

The floral displays have been extended to parks, landscaped areas, streets, residential areas, and tourist destinations in Da Lat city and its surrounding areas, with the active participation and support of businesses, organizations, and individual households. In addition to the main programs, there are 12 supporting programs and many other novel and attractive initiatives implemented by organizations, businesses, and individuals both within and outside the province.

The opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8 PM on December 5th, 2024, from Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City, featuring a spectacular artistic program. This is also a key highlight in the overall program of this year's Flower Festival, promising to bring a unique and impressive experience to viewers watching both live and indirectly.

The New Year's Eve 2025 art program, combined with the closing ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, will take place at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City, at 8 PM on December 31, 2024, bringing the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 to a close.
