On December 6th,FPT announced the acquisition of an 80% stake in AOSIS, a technology consulting firm based in France. This marks the completion of FPT's acquisitions of four technology companies globally in less than a year.
The signing ceremony between the two parties took place in Paris, France, with the participation of FPT Software CEO (a subsidiary of FPT) Pham Minh Tuan and AOSIS CEO Pascal Janot (second row, left).
This transaction is part of FPT's strategy to expand its global presence and, in particular, to make a mark on its technological competitiveness in Europe, aiming to broaden business opportunities and customer base in this market.
With the addition of AOSIS, FPT will expand its customer base and business opportunities, enhancing its capabilities in SAP, Data, Cloud, and intelligent enterprise solutions, focusing on the Aerospace, Aviation, and Transportation sectors.
This deal also adds hundreds of technology experts to FPT who understand the French market in particular and the European market in general. Four AOSIS offices will join FPT's global presence network.
Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, General Director of FPT Software, stated: “Over the past 10 years, FPT has continuously strengthened its core competencies, consolidated its position in strategic markets, and expanded its partnerships with customers through M&A deals with leading consulting and technology companies worldwide . With its reputation in data technology in France, and the advantage of possessing a high-quality team of experts and resources, AOSIS will be an extension of FPT's capabilities, helping to enhance and promote its end-to-end solution delivery and accompany customers in their digital transformation journey in Europe and globally.”
Pascal Janot, CEO of AOSIS, said: “AOSIS is a specialist in the field of Data, and we want to expand our partnerships with larger clients. In parallel with FPT's need to strengthen its presence, we are collaborating to drive business development, first in Toulouse, and then throughout France. I expect this partnership will allow both parties to reach more clients both within and outside France, while upholding AOSIS's core values and commitments in citizenship, ecology, and sport .”
This is a combination of expertise and personalized service between two parties. On one side is the AOSIS engineering team, which has been involved in the research and development of numerous successful products. On the other side is a resource of nearly 30,000 IT engineers operating in 29 countries worldwide.
Present in the French market since 2008, FPT has 400 experts working in Paris, Toulouse, and Sophia Antipolis, serving numerous clients across various sectors and industries such as Big Data, AutoCAD, SAP, and Cloud services. The company's technological capabilities are demonstrated through collaborations with major clients like Airbus, Geopost, and Quandient. The company also ranked among the Top 100 ICT companies in France last October.
Europe is currently one of FPT's largest overseas markets, with a system of 10 offices across Germany, France, the UK, Denmark, Slovakia, Romania, and more.
AOSIS was founded in 2010 in Toulouse, France, by a group of SAP experts. The company initially focused on software development (BIRD). Currently, AOSIS provides consulting and technology services in the fields of Business Intelligence, data science, big data and data management, training, and software.
Since 2014, FPT has continuously carried out mergers and acquisitions with leading technology companies worldwide. FPT's first M&A deal was the acquisition of RWE IT Slovakia (a subsidiary of RWE, a leading European energy group) to expand its customer base in public utility infrastructure, and it was also the first M&A deal in Vietnam's information technology sector in a foreign market.
In 2018, FPT acquired 90% of Intellinet, the fastest-growing digital transformation consulting firm in the US.
In 2022, FPT made a strategic investment in LTS, Inc., a company ranked among the Top 20 consulting, business management, and digital transformation firms in Japan.
In 2023, FPT expanded its presence in the US by acquiring the entire technology services division of Intertec International. Last October, FPT announced it had become a major investor in Landing AI, a leading US computer vision and AI software company. In December, FPT announced the acquisition of Cardinal Peak, a 20-year-old technology services provider in the North American market.
Mergers and acquisitions play a crucial role in FPT's global strategy and contribute to achieving its goal of reaching $1 billion in IT services sales to overseas markets by the end of 2023, and becoming one of the top 50 global technology companies by 2030.
