Recently, Samsung announced a list of Galaxy devices eligible for security updates, and the Galaxy Z Fold2 was not included. This means the Z Fold2 will not receive any further software updates in the future.

On September 1, 2020, Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold2, equipped with high-end enhancements, offering a new foldable screen experience for tech enthusiasts. With a larger outer screen and a super-large main screen, the Z Fold2 combines perfect design, exquisite craftsmanship, and an intuitive interface, bringing unique and flexible mobile experiences to everyday life.
At the time, the device was promised support for 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security patches. The last Android update for the Z Fold2 was Android 13 (released in 2022). The last UI update for the device was OneUI 5.1.1 (released in September 2023). After that, the device only received security patches, but now even these minor updates will stop.
The Z Fold2 may receive some final updates in certain countries, but Samsung is expected to officially end support for the device in 2024.
The Z Fold2 has a 6.23-inch screen when folded and a 7.6-inch screen when unfolded. The device uses a Snapdragon 865+ chip, 12GB of RAM, and 256/512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It has a 4,500 mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging and 11W wireless charging.
The device comes in two versions, Bronze and Diamond Black, priced at 50 million VND.
