PUTTING THE MEMBERS AT THE CENTER
Currently, the Provincial Trade Union is representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of more than 200,000 union members and workers employed in various fields, industries, and types of businesses.

The large, dispersed, and highly volatile workforce, coupled with uneven access to information, has created an urgent need for a radical reform of communication methods towards a more flexible, multi-platform approach, centered around union members and workers.
Recognizing this need, over the years, the Provincial Trade Union has proactively shifted its focus from traditional communication to a synchronized combination with digital communication.
To date, 100% of grassroots trade unions in the province have built and maintained Facebook fanpages, Zalo groups, or other online information channels suitable to the actual conditions of each unit.
During the period 2023-2025, the entire trade union system in Dong Thap province posted more than 10,000 news articles, images, and videos on digital platforms, with a total reach of over 600,000, contributing to the timely dissemination of activities caring for and protecting the rights and emulation movements among workers, civil servants, and laborers.
In practice, digital communication has proven highly effective during peak periods of significant socio -political importance, such as Workers' Month, Occupational Safety and Health Month, the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program, and support campaigns for union members facing difficulties due to natural disasters, epidemics, and production fluctuations.
Information is not only transmitted "from top to bottom" but also opens up a space for two-way interaction, helping trade union organizations to promptly understand the thoughts, aspirations, and suggestions of workers right from the grassroots level, thereby improving the quality of representation, care, and protection of members' rights.
In addition, the content and presentation of trade union communication have also undergone a significant shift. Instead of dry, administrative information, grassroots communication is increasingly focusing on reflecting real stories and real people; vivid images of the lives, work, income, and thoughts of union members and workers.
Many good models, effective methods, examples of dedicated trade union officials, and examples of skilled and creative workers have spread rapidly, creating a positive effect in society.
BUILDING A TEAM OF DIGITAL TRADE UNION COMMUNICATIONS WORKERS FROM THE GRASSROOTS LEVEL
Alongside content innovation, the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee pays special attention to improving the digital skills of its propaganda staff.
During the period 2023-2025, the Provincial Labor Union organized more than 120 training courses to improve communication skills, news writing, video production, and social media management for over 150 core trade union officials at all levels.
Through this process, a team of "digital trade union communicators" will gradually be formed at the grassroots level – individuals who understand the local area, are close to union members and workers, and are capable of conveying information in a vivid and persuasive manner.
Experience shows that when communication is emphasized and implemented effectively, the role and position of the trade union organization are more clearly recognized; the trust of union members and workers in the trade union is increasingly strengthened.
Many union members shared that, through the union's digital communication channels, they have a better understanding of their rights and obligations; they can promptly access support policies, welfare benefits, and practical care activities implemented by the union.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union has identified building a digital trade union communication ecosystem as one of its breakthroughs.
Communication is not limited to propaganda; it is closely linked to managing union members, caring for welfare, understanding public opinion, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
The overarching goal is to bring the trade union closer to its members, to respond more quickly to emerging issues, and to operate more effectively in the context of digital transformation.
