Specifically, regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of raw 5451 rice has increased by 50 VND, fluctuating between 8,800 and 9,050 VND/kg; raw OM 380 rice has increased by 150 VND, fluctuating between 7,550 and 7,700 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice fluctuates between 8,800 and 9,000 VND/kg; raw IR 504 rice fluctuates between 7,700 and 7,800 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice fluctuates between 9,500 and 9,700 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, prices range from approximately 5,450 to 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice is priced at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice (grades 3-4) increased by 100 VND to 6,000 - 6,100 VND/kg; and dry rice bran increased by 100 VND to 5,450 - 5,650 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Reports from various localities today indicate a fairly good supply of rice, with brisk trading activity. In Sa Dec ( Dong Thap ), rice shipments are substantial, with a sufficient quantity of fragrant Vietnamese rice at relatively stable prices, and warehouses showing considerable interest in purchasing IR50404 rice. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), fragrant rice supplies are sporadic, warehouses are buying steadily, and prices are relatively stable.
In Sa Dec market (Dong Thap province), the quantity is small, warehouse transactions are sporadic, and prices are stable. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang province ), the quantity is sporadic, warehouses buy steadily, and good quality rice fetches slightly higher prices.
At retail markets, prices for various types of rice remained stable compared to the weekend. Currently, regular rice ranges from 14,000 to 16,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 18,000 to 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price at 28,000 VND/kg; long-grain Thai fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 to 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice decreased by 2,000 VND, ranging from 18,000 to 20,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; and regular Soc rice ranges from 18,000 VND/kg. Soc Thai rice costs 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg.
According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the current prices for fresh rice are as follows: IR 50404 rice ranges from 5,200 to 5,400 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice ranges from 6,500 to 6,700 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice ranges from 5,800 to 6,000 VND/kg; OM 380 rice is at 6,600 to 6,700 VND/kg; OM 18 rice ranges from 6,500 to 6,700 VND/kg; Nhat rice is at 7,800 to 8,000 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice is at 9,200 VND/kg.
Observations in many localities today show that rice supplies are sporadic, and buying and selling transactions are slow. In Hau Giang, rice harvests are sporadic, demand is slow, and transactions are sparse.
In Kien Giang, prices are relatively stable, traders are making sporadic inquiries, and few transactions are being finalized. In An Giang, farmers are offering rice at stable prices, but there are few buyers. In Ca Mau, rice is being offered at high prices, but there are few buyers.
In Can Tho, the winter-spring rice crop is being traded sporadically, with harvesting taking place in some fields, and the price of fragrant rice showing a slight upward trend. In Dong Thap, farmers are offering a large quantity of winter-spring rice for sale, with the price of fragrant rice falling slightly, while the price of regular rice remains stable.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged today compared to the end of last week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price for 5% broken rice is $395/ton; 25% broken rice is $372/ton; and 100% broken rice is $310/ton.
