World coffee prices at 4:30 AM on July 23, 2024, were updated on the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV).
Today's online coffee prices from the three main coffee futures exchanges, ICE Futures Europe, ICE Futures US, and B3 Brazil, are updated on www.giacaphe.com as follows:

At the close of trading on July 23, 2024, at 4:30 PM, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange rose to between US$4,039 and US$4,581 per ton. Specifically, the September 2024 delivery contract was US$4,581 per ton (up US$51 per ton); the November 2024 delivery contract was US$4,407 per ton (up US$52 per ton); the January 2025 delivery contract was US$4,208 per ton (up US$44 per ton); and the March 2025 delivery contract was US$4,039 per ton (up US$37 per ton).

Arabica coffee prices on the New York exchange on the morning of July 23, 2024, increased from 236.30 to 243.05 cents/lb. Specifically, the September 2024 delivery contract was 243.05 cents/lb (up 2.04%); the December 2024 contract was 241.30 cents/lb (up 1.94%); the March 2025 contract was 239.45 cents/lb (up 1.92%); and the May 2025 contract was 236.30 cents/lb (up 1.88%).

Brazilian Arabica coffee prices increased on the morning of July 23, 2024. Specifically, the July 2024 delivery contract was $306.25/ton (up 2.25%); the September 2024 contract was $300.20/ton (up 0.07%); the December 2024 contract was $295.00/ton (up 2.24%); and the March 2025 contract was $292.60/ton (up 2.08%).
Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe exchange (London exchange) opens at 4:00 PM and closes at 12:30 AM (the next day), Vietnam time.
Arabica coffee on the ICE Futures US (New York exchange) opens at 4:15 PM and closes at 1:30 AM (the next day), Vietnam time.
For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, the market will open from 7:00 PM to 2:35 AM (the next day), Vietnam time.
According to data from the General Department of Customs, coffee exports have been declining sharply month after month due to dwindling supply. In June alone, coffee exports were only half of what they were in the same period last year, at approximately 70,000 tons. This is the lowest level since September 2023.
At the end of the first nine months of the 2023/24 crop year (from October 2023 to June 2024), Vietnam exported nearly 1.26 million tons of coffee, equivalent to 86% of the current crop year's production of approximately 1.47 million tons, and a decrease of more than 11% compared to the same period of the previous crop year.
Excluding stocks carried over from last year, Vietnam only has about 210,000 tons of coffee left to export between now and September.
Low supply coupled with rising shipping costs has pushed export coffee prices up to $5,000 per ton. Export coffee prices in the first half of July 2024 reached $4,944 per ton, a 75% increase year-on-year, contributing to July's coffee export value reaching $158 million.

Domestic coffee prices, updated at 4:30 AM on July 23, 2024, according to www.giacaphe.com, have slightly increased by 400-600 VND/kg compared to yesterday, ranging from 126,500 to 127,200 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 127,100 VND/kg, with the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province at 127,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, the purchase price of coffee in Gia Lai province (Chu Prong) is 127,000 VND, in Pleiku and La Grai it is 126,900 VND/kg; in Kon Tum province the price is 127,000 VND/kg; in Dak Nong province coffee is purchased at the highest price of 127,200 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha, the price of bulk green coffee beans (green coffee beans, fresh green coffee beans) is 126,500 VND/kg.
Coffee prices in Dak Lak province today, July 23rd, increased slightly by 400 VND/kg; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is being purchased at approximately 127,000 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it is being purchased at the same rate of 126,900 VND/kg.
As of July 16th, Brazil's coffee harvest for the new 2024/25 season was 74% complete, faster than the 66% completion rate at the same stage of the previous season.
Safras & Mercado has cut its estimate for Brazil's coffee production in the 2024/25 season to 66 million bags, a 6.5% decrease from its previous estimate of 70.4 million bags, due to unfavorable weather conditions. Meanwhile, Rabobank has also revised its forecast for the country's coffee production in the new season. According to Rabobank, Brazil is expected to produce only 67.1 million bags of coffee in the 2024/25 season, a 3.87% decrease from its previous estimate.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) annual commodity report, global coffee production for the business year ending September 30, 2024, is estimated at 169.2 million bags, 2.2 million bags lower than the previous forecast. Exports for the period are also projected to decrease by 0.4 million bags to 119.5 million bags. Specifically, Vietnam and Indonesia are expected to see a decrease of 2.6 million bags, Central America a decrease of 2.7 million bags, but Brazil an increase of 2 million bags. End-of-season stocks are projected at 23.9 million bags.
The target for Vietnam's coffee exports by 2030 is to reach US$6 billion. The market has witnessed growth not only in export volume but also in export value. Particularly, Robusta green coffee reached nearly US$1.9 billion, Arabica over US$56 million, and decaffeinated coffee nearly US$3.2 million.
