Analysts believe that, technically, both exchanges are likely to see price declines at the beginning of next week.

According to data from the General Department of Customs, in the first quarter of 2024, Vietnam exported approximately 585,696 tons of coffee with a value of 1.9 billion USD, the highest level since 2013.

According to experts, the increase in coffee prices is partly due to concerns about supply shortages, and partly due to forecasts of a 10-15% decrease in global coffee production this season. In addition, tensions in the Red Sea have led to increased shipping costs and other expenses, further driving up coffee prices.

Currently, Vietnamese coffee is exported to 37 major markets worldwide. Of these, 12 export markets have turnovers exceeding $10 million, totaling $1.36 billion, accounting for 71% of Vietnam's total coffee export turnover in the quarter. The total export volume to these 12 countries also accounts for 71%, reaching 416,100 tons. Germany is Vietnam's largest coffee export market with $229 million, followed by Italy with $196 million, Spain with $150 million, Japan with $131 million, and the United States with $119 million...

The Brazilian Real continues to trade within a relatively low range of around 5.24 cents to 1 USD, although it is currently less affected by selling pressure from farmers as the Real depreciates.
