Price of Ronaldo's engagement ring

The giant diamond ring Cristiano Ronaldo proposed to Georgina Rodriguez is valued by experts at millions of pounds.

Ronaldo's engagement ring is not cheap.

Ronaldo officially proposed to Georgina Rodriguez, marking their nearly 10-year relationship with a diamond ring that stunned the jewelry world. In the photo published on social media, Georgina beamed showing off the huge ring while holding CR7's hand.

It is unclear where Ronaldo bought the gem, but jewelers were quick to estimate. 77 Diamonds director Tobias Kormind said the ring was around 37 carats, worth up to £3.7 million.

Laura Taylor, engagement ring specialist at Lorel Diamonds, believes the rare oval-cut diamond is between 15 and 20 carats, easily surpassing the £1.5 million mark. Meanwhile, jewellery content creator Julia Chafe estimates the ring is around 35 carats and worth up to £2.2 million.

Ronaldo and Georgina met in 2016 when she worked at a Gucci store in Spain, when CR7 was still playing for Real Madrid. The couple have two children together, Alana (7 years old) and Bella (3 years old), along with Ronaldo's three children from a previous relationship, including Cristiano Jr (15 years old) and twins Mateo and Eva Maria (8 years old).

Despite winning every prestigious title with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, this is the first time Ronaldo has put an engagement ring on the hand of the woman he loves.
