Dried onion prices drop sharply

According to some farmers in Nam An Phu commune, Nguyen Dai Nang ward (Hai Phong city), the price of dried onions has decreased sharply compared to the same period last year.

Currently, the price of dried onions in Nam An Phu commune and Nguyen Dai Nang ward is at 12,000 - 15,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the price of dried onions is at 12,000 - 15,000 VND/kg, down from 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg compared to the same period last year. The reason for the sharp drop in dried onion prices is due to the decrease in market consumption.

In the 2024-2025 winter crop, Kinh Mon town (old) has 3,774 hectares of onions, with a yield of 20 tons/ha, up 5.3% compared to the previous winter crop. Farmers usually sell dried onions until the time to plant the new onion crop.
