The selling price of USD at banks today (November 5th) was adjusted downwards. The buying price of USD increased at most banks, except for Vietcombank .
The State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US Dollar today at 24,248 VND/USD, a decrease of 5 VND compared to yesterday.
With a 5% margin, commercial banks are allowed to trade today at a ceiling exchange rate of 25,460 VND/USD and a floor exchange rate of 23,036 VND/USD.
The reference buying price for USD at the State Bank of Vietnam's Exchange remains at 23,400 VND/USD. The reference selling price for USD has also been maintained at 25,450 VND/USD since October 25th.
At the banking channel, the USD exchange rate today showed mixed movements in terms of buying and selling prices.

The selling price of USD at banks today decreased by 5 dong compared to yesterday's rate and is still listed at the maximum rate of 25,460 dong/USD.
Meanwhile, except for Vietcombank which adjusted its rates downwards, the buying price of USD at other banks was adjusted upwards, with common increases ranging from 10 to 66 dong.
At the start of today's trading session, Vietcombank listed the buying price of USD in cash at 25,090 VND/USD, a decrease of 5 VND compared to the start of yesterday's trading session (November 4).
Meanwhile, compared to early yesterday morning, BIDV increased the price of the US dollar by 26 dong, bringing the buying price of USD to 25,151 dong/USD. Similarly, VietinBank also raised the buying price of USD to 25,151 dong/USD early this morning, an increase of 36 dong.
In the private banking sector, many banks have also adjusted their USD buying prices upwards.
Techcombank raised its USD buying price by 66 dong compared to the beginning of yesterday morning, to 25,162 dong/USD.
Sacombank raised the USD buying price to 25,120 VND/USD, an increase of 20 VND compared to the beginning of yesterday morning.
ACB also adjusted the cash buying price of USD upwards to 25,120 VND/USD, 30 VND higher than yesterday's opening rate.
Eximbank also increased the buying price of USD in cash to 25,090 VND/USD, 10 VND higher than yesterday.
In the free market, the USD exchange rate remained relatively stable. Foreign exchange bureaus in the free market this morning traded USD at a common rate of 25,780-25,880 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged from the previous session.
On the global market, the USD is trending upwards. The US Dollar Index (measuring the fluctuations of the greenback against six major currencies) was at 103.9 points at 10:05 AM on November 5th (Vietnam time), up 0.02% from the previous session.
