E10 gasoline price drops by more than 1,000 VND/liter.

In this afternoon's price adjustment session (July 2nd), the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade reduced the price of E5RON92 gasoline by 1,055 VND/liter; and the price of E10RON95-III gasoline by 788 VND/liter. Meanwhile, 0.05S diesel decreased by 690 VND/liter, and finally, 180CST 3.5S fuel oil decreased by 977 VND/kg.

Following the adjustment, gasoline and diesel prices effective from 4:00 PM on July 2nd are as follows:

- E5RON92 gasoline: not exceeding 19,730 VND/liter

- E10RON95-III gasoline: not exceeding 20,415 VND/liter

During this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade also allocated funds to the fuel price stabilization fund, at a rate of 200 VND per liter of bio-gasoline, 200 VND per liter of diesel fuel, and 400 VND per kilogram of mazut.

Recently, the Government agreed to extend the exemption period for preferential import tax, environmental protection tax, and value-added tax (VAT) on gasoline until September 30th. However, the special consumption tax on gasoline will be reinstated from July 1st, specifically 10% for mineral gasoline, 8% for E5, and 7% for E10 (according to the Special Consumption Tax Law No. 66/2025/QH15).

According to data from the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), after nationwide sales began on June 1st, by June 28th, 2026, the total consumption of bioethanol fuel nationwide reached approximately 980 million liters, of which E10 bioethanol accounted for 924 million liters and E5 bioethanol accounted for 56 million liters. Thus, E10 bioethanol fuel accounted for more than 96% of the total consumption.

Currently, all retail gasoline stations nationwide are selling E10 bioethanol fuel. Two major companies, Petrolimex and PVOIL, along with 24 other distributors, are supplying E10 bioethanol fuel throughout the country. At the same time, 11 out of the 26 distributors continue to supply E5 gasoline to meet consumer demand.
