According to statistics from Esports Chart, the 2024 World Championship Finals between T1 and Bilibili Gaming ( BLG) reached 6.94 million concurrent viewers, with an average of 1.73 million followers, thereby becoming the match with the highest number of viewers in the history of eSports. Previously, the T1 - GenG match also broke the viewership record and became the most watched eSports Semi-final in history with more than 4.9 million concurrent live viewers. In Vietnam, VNGGames has coordinated with partners to successfully organize a series of 2024 World Championship Viewing Parties at 40 locations in 12 provinces and cities across the country, attracting a total of more than 15,000 participants. According to statistics from the official broadcasting channels of LOL Esports VN (Youtube, TikTok) and co-stream channels, there were 1.1 million viewers watching the tournament in Vietnam alone. London & Partners estimates that the 2024 World Championship Finals at the O2 Arena in London could help the British economy increase by 12 million pounds, equivalent to 15.5 million USD. Every year, this tournament creates new standards in terms of viewership, prizes or popularity. The 2024 League of Legends World Championship is held in many cities across Europe such as: London (UK), Berlin (Germany) and Paris (France). The total prize money of this year's tournament is up to 2.250 million USD, of which the champion - T1 receives 445,000 USD.
