Increasingly large and professional

After two seasons, the “Green Dream” Golf Tournament assigned by the Vietnam Journalists Association to the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper has become a familiar tournament, a memorable and meaningful meeting place for sports journalists. This year, at Tuan Chau Golf & Resort (Ha Long - Quang Ninh), the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Golf Association organized the 3rd “Green Dream” Golf Tournament - 2024 - this cooperation brings a large-scale, high-quality and professional tournament.

In the cool weather, with gentle breezes and golden sunshine, on the green grass field, journalists, businessmen and the press public had the opportunity to gather, compete, and contribute beautiful but equally thrilling and tense football matches.

The “Green Dream” Tournament is organized in coordination with the Vietnam Golf Association to continue to raise the professionalism of the Tournament.

Evaluating this year's tournament, journalist Nguyen Kim Trung - General Director - Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television Station said that the 3rd "Green Dream" Golf Tournament - 2024 with a large, professional scale was a great success, creating a beautiful impression in the hearts of participating golfers.

This year, the Organizing Committee has prepared very carefully and professionally, from shirts, hats, competition format and prize structure have also been researched and invested. The number of golfers participating in the tournament has increased compared to previous seasons, in addition to journalists, the Tournament also has the participation of businessmen and readers, showing the growing influence of the Tournament and the prestige of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper.

As the golfer who won the First Prize in the A Category, golfer Doan Ngoc Dung shared: “I am very happy and excited to receive this award. The organization of the professional tournament goes far beyond a grassroots tournament, making golfers excited with the spirit of competing with all their might, focusing highly to bring beautiful shots for the season.”

Extending the journey of "Giving wings to dreams"

The “Green Dream” fundraising golf tournament is an annual activity organized by the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper with the aim of implementing projects targeting disadvantaged groups through connecting and mobilizing social resources for joint sponsorship.

Journalist Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, commented that over the past two years, Nha Bao & Cong Luan Newspaper has spent an important part of the Fund's budget to support hospital fees for many children with cancer in especially difficult circumstances, and awarded scholarships to many excellent journalism students who have overcome difficulties at many universities, which is an extremely creative and meaningful effort.

By doing so, the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper has truly turned the name and message of the Fund into reality, fueling the passion for journalism in journalism students as well as contributing, together with journalism training institutions, to create a high-quality journalism human resource for press agencies across the country.

With the contributions of golfers, businesses and philanthropists at the third tournament, the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper will continue its journey to help disadvantaged groups in society by connecting and mobilizing social resources to carry out charitable activities such as sponsoring hospital fees for cancer patients; supporting tuition fees and vocational training for children who are victims of violence and at risk of violence; Building classrooms for children in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas; Awarding scholarships to talented students and poor students who overcome difficulties at journalism training faculties across the country; Sponsoring heroic Vietnamese mothers...

Journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Green Dream" Golf Tournament emphasized that the greatest success and joy that the Organizing Committee has had from organizing the "Green Dream" Golf Tournament is that over the past two years, from the funding source of the "Green Dream" Fund - built from the generosity of journalists - golfers participating in the Tournament and sponsors, there has been the opportunity to support hospital fees for many children with especially difficult circumstances at Tan Trieu K Hospital; National Children's Hospital; awarding many scholarships to talented and poor students who have overcome difficulties at many journalism training institutions such as the Institute of Journalism and Communication - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, Faculty of Writing - Journalism - University of Culture; Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, College of Television.

These are just the first steps on the journey of “making dreams come true”. The Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper will continue to travel to many places across the S-shaped strip of land with the mission of fulfilling dreams, helping unfortunate lives and less fortunate fates.
