As night falls, the ancient Cham towers appear serene and mystical in the soft yellow light. Amidst this sacred space, the lively sound of the ginang drums and the melodious sound of the saranai horns echo in the wind, marking the beginning of a Cham folk art performance for international tourists.

Mr. Tran Duc Dung, Head of the Management Board of the Po Sah Inu Tower Relic (Provincial Museum), said that during a 5-star train journey to explore Vietnam's cultural heritage from North to South in late 2024, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism welcomed international delegations to visit eastern Lam Dong. When the train stops at a station, several points will be selected, including Ta Cu Mountain, the Museum of the Ancient Fishing Village, Bau Trang tourist area, and visitors will spend the night at the Po Sah Inu Cham Tower complex located on Ba Nai hill. The relic features the Hoa Lai architectural style. Although only of moderate and small size, it encapsulates the essence of the ancient Cham people's decorative art, creating a majestic and mysterious appearance.

To date, the Po Sah Inư Tower destination has welcomed 15 groups, each with 10-30 guests. These are high-spending tourists who are interested in the authenticity, cultural stories, and unique experiences of the destination. After the tour, international visitors will enjoy a cozy dinner at the foot of the tower. Under harmoniously arranged lighting that enhances the ancient beauty of the monument, the tables are set comfortably and harmoniously with the landscape, close enough to the stage for visitors to fully enjoy the Cham folk art performances. In addition, visitors can directly experience handcrafted pottery making, brocade weaving, traditional gingerbread making, folk dancing, and more.

Although unable to fully communicate through language, through the nods, glances, and smiles of each visiting delegation, the Cham artisans – those silently preserving traditional heritage – clearly felt the interest of international friends and were proud of their ethnic culture. Ms. Luong Thi Hoa (Binh Tien village, Bac Binh commune) shared: “Participating in performances at many festivals, but practicing traditional pottery at night at the foot of the tower has a sacred and very special meaning. We feel that the cultural life of our people is still present and we have a responsibility to continue preserving and passing it on to the younger generation.”

Mr. Nguyen Anh Khoa, Head of Sales Department at Sao Mai Trading and Tourism Services Co., Ltd., said that train travel is very popular with European tourists. Therefore, connecting this mode of transportation to heritage sites and local cultural experiences in the eastern part of Lam Dong province is a new direction, not only promoting the image of the homeland but also creating livelihoods for the people and encouraging the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values. This is also one of the products requested by customers to experience and learn more about Cham culture. Currently, departure dates are available until 2027.

Not only will these stops on the 5-star cruise ship enrich tourism products, but they will also become a strong bridge, bringing the cultural heritage of Lam Dong in particular and Vietnamese culture in general further, touching the hearts of international friends with sincerity and profound identity.
