On October 23 and 24, the Hai Phong City Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans coordinated with organizations and philanthropists to organize gift giving to support people affected by storms and floods in Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang provinces.
In Cao Bang province, monk Thich Truong Xuan, abbot of Red Pagoda ( Hai Phong city), along with monks, Buddhists and representatives of Huong Tu Tam Club, presented 406 gifts, including 6 gifts, each worth 20 million VND and 1 warm blanket to 6 households with severely damaged houses; 400 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to 400 households affected by storms and floods in Hoa An commune.
In Thai Nguyen province, the delegation presented 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 100 households that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods in Gia Sang ward; presented 130 million VND to Gia Sang Kindergarten, Gia Sang Primary and Secondary School 915. The total value of the gifts was 1.15 billion VND.
These are meaningful gifts showing the spirit of "mutual love" of Hai Phong people towards people in difficulty in flood areas.

At the places visited and presented gifts, the delegation representatives shared the difficulties and encouraged people affected by storms No. 10 and 11; hoping that people would soon overcome losses and difficulties, restore production, and rebuild their lives after the storms and floods.
