- Although only operational since 2024, the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center has continuously strived to boost investment, trade and tourism promotion activities, thereby effectively exploiting and developing the province's potential and advantages.

Investors in the VSIP Lang Son Industrial Park infrastructure development project presented an overview of the project's location and potential advantages to Chinese businesses.

The Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center was established by Decision No. 1725/QD-TTg dated December 29, 2023, of the Prime Minister . The Center's function is to advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of programs, plans, schemes, and projects related to promotion in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, industrial promotion, energy saving, and geopark management.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuan, Director of the center, said: Immediately after commencing operations, the center promptly implemented activities to promote investment, trade, and tourism in the province. At the same time, the center focuses on providing investment consulting and support to businesses; promptly guiding and assisting investors throughout the process, from surveying to completing documentation, in order to create the most favorable conditions for investors to confidently implement projects and achieve sustainable development in the area.

Leaders of the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center introduced the tourism potential of Lang Son province in Hue city.

Accordingly, the center annually advises and submits to the Provincial People's Committee for approval the investment promotion program and issues investment promotion plans to support businesses. Since its inception, the center has supported and advised on investment, business, land, construction, and environmental procedures for over 60 projects; provided free support and advice on business establishment procedures and business registration certificate adjustments for 15 businesses; advised and prepared project dossiers for submission to competent authorities for 2 projects; and provided free support and advice on dissolution procedures for 3 businesses.

Mr. Truong Van Tinh, Project Manager of the New Residential Area II in Na Sam town, Van Lang district, Bao Nguyen Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company (the investor), stated: The New Residential Area II project in Na Sam town has a total investment of 344 billion VND and covers an area of ​​8.5 hectares. It received its initial investment registration certificate in 2011. However, due to difficulties in land clearance, the project's implementation progress was delayed. At the end of 2024, the company needed to complete the procedures for renewing the investment certificate. With the advice and guidance of the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, the company completed the necessary documents and procedures. In early 2025, the company received the renewed investment certificate, allowing it to confidently continue implementing the project.

In addition, the center also organizes receptions and working sessions with foreign delegations coming to learn about the investment environment and investment attraction policies of the province; and organizes seminars to introduce the investment environment to Chinese businesses. Training and capacity building in investment promotion and business support consulting have been implemented promptly by the unit. From 2024 to the present, the center has coordinated and organized 6 training courses for over 500 participants. Through these courses, businesses have grasped new regulations and policies related to taxation, financial management, etc.

Besides promoting investment and supporting businesses, the center also focuses on promoting tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, etc.; emphasizing the exploitation and development of the international tourist market, especially coordinating the development of tour routes for Chinese tourists to Lang Son using travel permits; organizing a welcoming ceremony for tourist groups passing through Huu Nghi International Border Gate at the beginning of the new year, thereby introducing the beautiful, friendly, and hospitable image of Lang Son to domestic and international tourists.

Mr. Ngo Manh Tung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, said: Promotion and advertising are important solutions to connect markets and create leverage to promote tourism development between localities. In recent times, the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center has continuously innovated and been dynamic in promotion and advertising with many diverse forms to reach tourists. For example, in March 2025, the center organized a conference to promote Lang Son as a tourist destination in 2025 with the theme "Who will go to Lang Son with me?" in Hue City. At this conference, the Provincial Tourism Association and the Hue City Tourism Association signed a cooperation agreement to develop and operate all-inclusive tour packages between travel businesses in Lang Son province and Hue city. This contributes to maximizing the potential and advantages of Lang Son and attracting tourists to the region.

Furthermore, the Center also focuses on trade promotion activities. In 2024, the unit successfully organized the Vietnam-China International Trade and Tourism Fair (Lang Son 2024), attracting nearly 80 businesses from within and outside the province; actively organized and facilitated the participation of businesses in domestic trade fairs to showcase and introduce the province's distinctive products, while also seeking partners to sign contracts for product distribution...

With proactive and coordinated solutions to improve the effectiveness of investment promotion activities, the province has attracted businesses to invest. From 2024 to the present, the Provincial People's Committee has approved investment policies and investors for 15 projects with a total registered investment capital of over 6,100 billion VND; and adjusted investment policies/investment certificates for 35 projects. Trade and tourism promotion activities have yielded positive results. In 2024, Lang Son welcomed 4.2 million visitors. In the first nearly 5 months of this year, the province attracted over 2.5 million visitors, reaching 57.7% of the 2025 plan.

In the coming period, the center will continue to effectively implement the 2025 investment promotion program; focus on improving the quality of investment project planning consultancy; research and implement cooperation activities and promote trade and tourism with localities and with Guangxi, China... Through this, it will maximize and effectively utilize the province's potential and advantages, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the area.
