The system is also implementing a 40-day promotional program from December 25, 2025 to February 16, 2026, offering discounts of 10-35% on 500 essential items such as rice, meat, and vegetables to meet the 30% increase in demand during Tet. Similarly, Aeon Mall Vietnam has launched the "Tet Food 2026" program at its retail centers, featuring thousands of essential products such as confectionery, beverages, and Tet gift baskets. According to Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the ability to ensure the supply of essential goods for Tet this year is very positive, fully meeting the consumption needs of the people. Therefore, there is no need to buy large quantities for stockpiling, avoiding waste and putting pressure on the distribution system. Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is coordinating with ministries, sectors, and localities to implement many activities to connect supply and demand, promote trade, and support the consumption of goods during Tet; continuing to promote the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods," with Vietnamese goods accounting for 80-90% in major distribution systems. However, businesses and distributors still need to closely monitor the supply and demand developments of the market to adjust the allocation of goods appropriately, avoiding shortages and price increases before, during, and after the Lunar New Year.

Besides preparing goods, Director Tran Huu Linh also stated that the unit has issued a plan to strengthen market monitoring, focusing on high-demand items; established 7 working groups to inspect, supervise, and guide localities in the prevention and control of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, and to balance supply and demand and stabilize the market during Tet. At the same time, it requested market management forces nationwide to conduct a peak inspection of goods, focusing on strictly handling acts of producing and trading counterfeit goods, substandard goods, goods of unknown origin, and violations of intellectual property and labeling. Furthermore, it requested distribution systems to strengthen quality control of goods throughout the supply chain, ensure transparency of origin, storage conditions, and proper pricing to better meet the needs of the people.
