According to Rushlane , this is a new design from VinFast , but it has never been introduced by the company in any market.
Based on the patent application images, the exterior of this model shares many similarities with the VinFast Viper currently sold in Vietnam, but with several redesigned details. The vehicle features redesigned LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.

The VinFast logo has been lowered to the front of the vehicle, the front fender is sharper, the small windscreen has been refined, and new body panels have been added. The LED taillights have a distinctive bat-wing design compared to the current Viper model.

Some familiar features on the current Viper are retained, such as the 14-inch alloy wheels, two-tiered seat, flat footrest, rear footrests, rear-mounted electric motor, TFT screen, smart key, keyless start system, and a 10-liter front storage compartment.
The suspension system will most likely be retained with telescopic forks at the front, twin shock absorbers with oil reservoirs at the rear, and a front disc brake.

In terms of powertrain, the VinFast Viper is currently equipped with a fixed 1.5 kWh battery, providing a range of approximately 82 km. An optional 1.15 kWh auxiliary battery adds an extra 74 km of range. The electric motor located in the rear wheel has a maximum power of 3,000 W (approximately 4 horsepower), allowing for a top speed of 70 km/h.
To date, VinFast has not confirmed whether the model recently registered in India will be a new Viper version exclusive to this market or will be distributed globally.
According to Rushlane , VinFast is likely to launch electric motorcycles in the Indian market with the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper models. Therefore, registering the design of the new models is considered a necessary step to protect intellectual property rights before the official product launch.

VinFast's registration of the new vehicle design patent comes amidst strong growth in the Indian electric motorcycle market. Many states and territories in the country are considering regulations that will only allow the registration of new electric two-wheelers in the future, opening up significant potential for manufacturers.
Currently, VinFast only distributes electric cars in India and is building a manufacturing plant in the state of Tamil Nadu. However, the company has repeatedly expressed its ambition to enter the electric motorcycle segment in the country.
