| Arm's new innovations promise to bring many changes to Android smartphones. |
According to a report from research firm Moor Insights and Strategy, the Cortex-X processor that Arm is preparing to introduce will be the most powerful CPU for smartphones. Currently, this CPU is known by the codename Blackhawk.
"The performance increase offered by this new processor will be the largest in the last five years. This CPU also integrates a large language model (LLM), supporting the acceleration of generative AI tasks," the report revealed.
Processors in Android smartphones have seen significant upgrades recently. However, the single-core processing speed of Arm chips still hasn't reached optimal performance compared to silicon chips developed by Apple.
Arm's new innovations promise to bring many changes to Android smartphones, especially for the high-end product line.
Most likely, the new generation Blackhawk processor core will be featured in two chips: MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Samsung Exynos 2500. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will also utilize Qualcomm's custom Oryon CPU core.
