The effectiveness of the "3 Haves, 3 Knows" model.

(Baoquangngai.vn) - After nearly a year of implementation, the "3 Haves, 3 Knows" model of the Women's Association of Phuoc Hoa village, Binh Tri commune (Binh Son district) has brought clear results in terms of both material and spiritual benefits to its members. The model is considered an important bridge helping the association connect with, understand, and empathize with the circumstances of each member in order to provide timely support and alleviate difficulties.

The "3 Haves, 3 Knows" model was implemented by the Women's Union of Binh Tri commune from June 2024. The Phuoc Hoa village branch was selected for pilot implementation. The model aims to help union officials and members not only perform their duties well but also play an important role in caring for the lives of members in difficult circumstances. The "3 Haves, 3 Knows" model is implemented based on criteria such as: having pioneering members, having monthly activities, having resources to organize activities; knowing the members' faces, knowing the members' circumstances, and knowing the members' needs.

Implementing this model, the Phuoc Hoa Village Women's Association has assigned specific tasks to each member. Members are responsible for gathering information, understanding the thoughts, aspirations, and needs of members, and concretizing the movement, campaigns, and key tasks of the association to suit the local characteristics. Through this, the association can understand the circumstances of each member and provide appropriate assistance.

To maintain and enhance the effectiveness of the model, the Phuoc Hoa Village Women's Association organizes many practical activities every month, such as collecting scrap materials and providing "breakfasts of love," while also mobilizing contributions from philanthropists to raise funds for support. The women in the association always proactively visit, encourage, and give gifts to members in difficult circumstances, elderly people living alone, or those suffering from serious illnesses, etc.

According to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tam, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Binh Tri Commune, the model sets targets for 100% of branch officials to promptly and accurately track the number of members, identify pioneering members, organize monthly activities, and have the resources to organize activities; to know the members' faces, circumstances, and needs. 100% of members facing difficulties, poverty, or near-poverty are regularly visited and encouraged, and the women members help them with whatever they need.

A typical example is the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tho (82 years old). She lives with her husband, but suffers from keratitis, causing blindness in one eye. Furthermore, she has injuries to her limbs, and her son, who left home to start a business, unfortunately passed away recently due to a serious illness. Instead of enjoying their retirement, they still struggle to make ends meet. After learning about Mrs. Tho's difficult circumstances, the Women's Association of Phuoc Hoa village considered providing support, regularly visiting them and giving them money or rice each month.

"I'm in a difficult situation, and I'm very happy to receive the care and attention from the officials and members of the association in my village. Recently, I received financial assistance from the government to build a house, and the young people in the association also came to help with the cleaning very enthusiastically," Mrs. Tho shared.

Furthermore, in 2024, the branch also promptly called for support for a mother and daughter who were involved in a serious traffic accident but lacked the financial means to pay for hospital fees, providing over 100 million VND in assistance. In addition, the branch also provides regular care for two elderly people in the village who are living alone and have no one to rely on.

"Maintaining and promoting the effectiveness of the '3 Haves, 3 Knows' model is not easy, but thanks to the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of the women in the branch, we have been able to promptly help those in difficult circumstances," said Phan Thi Nhi, Head of the Women's Branch in Phuoc Hoa village.

To date, the "3 Haves, 3 Knows" model has supported over 30 cases, yielding positive results. The support activities of the Phuoc Hoa Village Women's Association have significantly contributed to improving the lives of members facing difficulties, fostering a spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance within the community. Thanks to the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of the association's members and officials, the model has received strong support from the villagers.

Following these initial successes, the Women's Union of Binh Tri commune stated that it will continue to expand the model to other branches in the commune to broaden the scope of support, contributing to building a united and increasingly prosperous community.
