According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are targeting Liverpool duo Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa. Many sources confirm that the team is getting closer to recruiting the two Liverpool stars.
Coach Antonio Conte wants to strengthen his squad after winning the Scudetto. Napoli's board also supports Conte's plan in the transfer market, which is to recruit a new striker and a new winger.
La Repubblica reports that Conte is particularly fond of Nunez, and negotiations for the deal between Napoli and Liverpool have already begun. Napoli's record signing of a player is Victor Osimhen, who was signed by the club from Lille in the summer of 2021 for 78 million euros.
Napoli are willing to pay the same price, or even more, for Nunez. Liverpool are also willing to sell the player if they receive a reasonable offer. The Uruguayan striker was bought by Liverpool from Benfica for more than 85 million euros, and the port city club has no intention of selling for less than 80 million euros.
