Inzaghi's Inter Milan have lost two consecutive matches.

Notably, this defeat came at a sensitive time, just days before Inter faced Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final at Montjuic. Prior to that, on April 20th, the Milanese club also lost to Bologna in Serie A's 33rd round.

"We were mentally exhausted," coach Simone Inzaghi admitted after the match against AC Milan. However, he also affirmed: "There is no excuse for this defeat."

Looking back at the defeat against Milan, coach Inzaghi shared: "This is a regrettable defeat, especially for our fans. Milan deserved to win, but what I regret most is that in the first half, we couldn't take advantage of our opportunities."

The situation became even more tense as Inter struggled with a lack of mental and physical strength after consecutive matches. "We're not used to losing two games in a row. This worries me," the Italian strategist expressed.

However, Inzaghi also emphasized that despite the fatigue, the team still needed to be stronger. He said: "We are Inter, we cannot let fatigue hinder our goals."

With no chance of winning the treble, Inter and Inzaghi face a major challenge in reviving morale to continue fighting in the Champions League and maintaining the Serie A title race in the remaining weeks of the season.
