(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Coach Nguyen Cong Manh has once again resigned from his position as head coach of Binh Duong Club. His replacement for the final rounds of the V-League 2024-2025 season will be Coach Nguyen Anh Duc.

Previously, in round 19 of the V-League, coach Nguyen Cong Manh had requested to resign after Binh Duong lost 0-3 to Hanoi FC. However, the leadership of the team from the Southeast region and its players encouraged him to stay.

However, after two defeats against Nam Dinh and Ha Tinh (both with a score of 1-3), Coach Cong Manh once again requested to resign. This time, Binh Duong Club agreed.

Coach Nguyen Anh Duc will replace Coach Nguyen Cong Manh in the upcoming rounds. Currently, Binh Duong has at least 7 matches remaining in the 2024-2025 season, including at least 5 matches in the V-League (not including the relegation play-off match, if Binh Duong finishes second to last in the standings at the end of the season) and two matches in the National Cup.

In the V-League, Binh Duong currently sits in 8th place with 25 points. They are 17 points behind league leaders Nam Dinh and 6 points ahead of second-to-last Binh Dinh (the team that will play a relegation play-off). Theoretically, Binh Duong still has a chance of being relegated.

In the National Cup, Binh Duong has reached the semi-finals. The team from the Southeast region has a great chance to win the cup. Their opponent in the semi-finals is Song Lam Nghe An FC.

Binh Duong's achievement of reaching the semi-finals of the National Cup bears the significant mark of coaches Hoang Anh Tuan and Nguyen Cong Manh, who have been working at Binh Duong since the beginning of the 2024-2025 season.
