(CT) - Since the beginning of the year, the Women's Union of Thanh Phu commune has mobilized and distributed over 200 gifts to members, women, and students who are children of members in difficult circumstances, with a total value of approximately 50 million VND; and mobilized benefactors to provide monthly support of rice and money to one single woman in extremely difficult circumstances, amounting to 1.7 million VND/month. The Women's Union of the commune also mobilized 5 gifts for young men selected for military service in 2026 who are children of members in difficult circumstances (each gift worth 300,000 VND).

Officials from the Women's Union of Thanh Phu commune presented rice and cash (worth 1.7 million VND/month) to support Ms. Nguyen Thi Chieu, a single mother facing extreme hardship.

The Women's Union of the commune actively supports its members and women in starting businesses and developing the economy through various forms: providing loan assistance, training in production and business skills. The Women's Union has expanded and improved the operation of the plastic rope weaving cooperative with 215 members, linking it with product output support, with each member earning 3-6 million VND/month; and maintained a cashew nut processing model, providing employment for over 100 women, with an income of approximately 2 million VND/person/month.

In addition, the Women's Union of the commune effectively manages 17 loan groups from the Social Policy Bank, helping more than 760 households borrow over 38 billion VND to develop their family economies and improve their living standards.
