Artist Do Chung launches his book.

On the morning of October 16th, the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association held a discussion about the photo book "Painter Do Chung". Attendees included painter Luong Xuan Doan, President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, artists from Thanh Hoa province, and friends and family of painter Do Chung.

With more than 10 solo art exhibitions held in Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Binh Duong , artist Do Chung has a unique position in the art scene of Thanh Hoa province and the whole country.

The book "Painter Do Chung" is a collection of 300 abstract paintings, varying in size and subject matter, fully reflecting all aspects of real life and the dreams and aspirations of humankind.

Throughout the paintings, the central idea is that of a woman walking towards the sun, even though none of the works actually depict a woman.

Artist Do Chung thanked his wife, friends, and colleagues. For him, the book represents a lifelong aspiration and endeavor.

Commenting on artist Do Chung, artist Luong Xuan Doan, President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, affirmed: “He wandered throughout Vietnam, from North to South, and quietly created. It's difficult to trace the first brushstroke in a painting by artist Do Chung. This is something not many people possess. The most difficult and easiest things to express are all conveyed by artist Do Chung in his paintings. The book launch of this elderly artist, who suffers from many illnesses, once again encourages the creative spirit of young artists.”

Artist Ta Quang Bao ( Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Art) shared his joy with artist Do Chung.

Artist Dang Thi Bich Ngan, Director of the Fine Arts Publishing House, said: "Artist Do Chung pursues a minimalist painting style with modern forms, making his works both accessible and stimulating to the viewer's imagination. Do Chung aims for a unique painting language that creates a sense of open space, not constrained by specific outlines. Besides introducing the artworks in his career, the book also respectfully includes a photograph of Do Chung's friends, colleagues, and relatives. We consider this photographic work to be of international caliber."

Meanwhile, artist Nguyen Hoang Linh, Head of the Fine Arts Committee of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, affirmed: "Artist Do Chung is one of the few veteran artists in Thanh Hoa who is still actively working. The book 'Artist Do Chung' summarizes a period of his creative work, and at the same time, marks the beginning of a new period of his creative work."

Artist Do Chung gifted books to colleagues and friends.

At the book launch, colleagues, friends, and relatives expressed their admiration for the artist's creative energy, professional ideas, and skillful artistic techniques. Therefore, the works of painter Do Chung not only contribute to the art of Thanh Hoa province but also partly reflect the trends of contemporary Vietnamese art.
