Tuition fees of 6 schools with Journalism major

According to the 2023 university enrollment plan just announced by schools, the expected tuition fees of all schools will increase, with the roadmap for increasing tuition fees each year according to Decree 81.

This year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) enrolls 27 majors and training programs, including 135 students in Journalism.

The school applies tuition fees for the 2023-2024 school year from 15 to 35 million VND/year, depending on the major. Specifically, standard training programs (except for quality-accredited training programs) are 15 million VND/school year (an increase of 3 million VND compared to last year), equivalent to 400,000 VND/credit.

The school has 18 accredited majors, so the tuition fee is 20 - 35 million VND/year higher than the standard program. Specifically, 9 accredited programs have a tuition fee of 20 million VND/year, including: History, Political Science, Archival Studies, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Anthropology, Linguistics, Vietnamese Studies, and Sociology.

Three majors with the highest tuition fees - 35 million VND/year: Journalism, Hotel Management, Public Relations.

Last year, the admission score for Journalism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities ranged from 25.75 to 29.90 points, depending on the admission combination.

The Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to double tuition fees after two years of no increase adjustments according to Government regulations.

The school applies tuition fees for mass-system majors (print journalism, online journalism, radio journalism, television journalism, multimedia, mass communication...) of 506,900 VND/credit for students in the 2023-2024 course (an increase of more than 224,000 VND/credit compared to the previous year) about 18.1 million VND/year.

The high-quality system (high-quality television journalism, high-quality online journalism) also increased to 1.5 million VND/credit, compared to the old level of 771,000 VND/credit, about 52 million VND/school year.

The majors of Philosophy, Scientific Socialism, Political Economy, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh Thought are exempt from tuition fees.

This year, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology recruits 65 students for the Journalism major, 130 students for the Multimedia Communications major, and opens the Communication and Public Relations major.

The school offers a tuition fee of 24.5 - 27.8 million VND/year for the general education program, depending on the major. Last year, the school charged tuition fees for 13 majors ranging from 21.60 - 23.94 million VND, depending on the major. The school also publicly announced a roadmap for increasing tuition fees according to Decree 81 of the Government, not exceeding 15% per year.

Hanoi University of Culture has 75 quotas for Journalism major, with expected tuition fees for full-time university students being 442,000 VND/credit.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities enrolls 34 majors. Of which, Journalism enrolls 160 students (60 high-quality programs), Multimedia Communications enrolls 70 students.

The school offers tuition fees for the upcoming school year ranging from 13 to 64 million VND/school year, depending on the major/training program. The school applies tuition fees for the majors of International Relations, Psychology, Journalism, and Multimedia Communication at 710,000 VND/credit, equivalent to 22,000,000 VND/school year.

This year, the University of Sciences - Hue University recruits 130 students for the Journalism major and 55 students for the Digital Media major. However, the school did not specify the tuition fee, only vaguely announcing that the tuition fee is 1.5 times the fee for full-time students and is collected according to the regulations of Hue University, the tuition fee increase roadmap is according to the provisions of Decree No. 81 of the Government.
