Currently, Lai Chau Power Corporation manages and operates a widespread power system with nearly 444km of 110kV power lines, 4 110kV substations, 1,393 distribution substations; more than 2,353km of medium-voltage lines and over 1,930km of low-voltage lines, serving nearly 120,000 customers. The power infrastructure is continuously invested in and upgraded, ensuring a safe and stable power supply, effectively meeting the socio -economic development requirements of the province.

Guided by the motto "Dedication - Professionalism, customer-centric," the company continuously improves the quality of its services. In 2025, commercial electricity output reached 274.5 million kWh, a 2.32% increase compared to the same period. Simultaneously, electricity saving efforts yielded positive results, with savings of 7.299 million kWh, equivalent to 2.66%. The company also actively promotes and encourages the development of rooftop solar power, contributing to the promotion of green energy use and reducing pressure on the power grid.

The year 2026 is significant as it marks the beginning of the 2026-2030 socio-economic development plan, and the implementation of resolutions from Party congresses at all levels with the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth. Lai Chau Power Corporation is determined to ensure a stable and safe electricity supply, meeting the province's growth target of over 10%. Simultaneously, it will accelerate investment and improve the power grid, prioritizing electricity supply to villages and hamlets without electricity; and strengthen coordination with project management boards and local authorities to resolve obstacles and expedite the progress of key power projects.

Speaking at the conference, leaders from the Department of Industry and Trade and the Northern Power Corporation emphasized that in 2026, the global geopolitical situation will continue to be complex, and extreme weather events will pose many challenges to ensuring electricity supply. In response to this, the Lai Chau Power Corporation needs to strengthen guidance for customers on energy conservation; promote and encourage the installation of rooftop solar power systems for self-production and self-consumption, contributing to reducing the load on the power system. Large electricity-consuming businesses need to proactively save energy, optimize costs, and actively participate in load adjustment. At the same time, the power sector will continue to effectively implement grid projects, alleviate capacity constraints from hydropower plants, and contribute to ensuring energy security and sustainable development.
