Ethnic Minority Language Contest 2026

On the morning of March 24th, the Provincial Border Guard Command organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 Ethnic Minority Language Contest.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Provincial Border Guard Command and specialized departments and divisions under the Provincial Border Guard Command.

The competition involved 52 contestants, divided into 13 teams of 4 members each. The contestants competed in two categories: speaking and writing in the Hmong language.

The 2026 Ethnic Minority Language Competition aims to enhance the proficiency of officers and soldiers in using ethnic minority languages ​​while performing their duties. This will contribute to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization efforts, building close military-civilian relations, and maintaining political security and social order in border areas. The competition serves as an opportunity to assess the quality of learning and training, facilitate exchange of experiences, and select teams to participate in the regional competition. Furthermore, the competition will select a team to participate in the regional competition organized by the Command Headquarters in Lao Cai province in the near future.

Candidates are taking the Hmong language speaking skills test.

The competition is scheduled to conclude on March 25th. At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will award first, second, and third prizes to the teams and individuals with outstanding achievements.
