In the beginning

Phuong Thanh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company is an enterprise under the Ministry of Transport, formerly known as the Transport Construction and Services Company. Established in November 1999 by the Vietnam Transport Workers' Union, Phuong Thanh's development over the past 20 years can be divided into three stages:

When it was first established (in 1999), the Construction and Transportation Services Company had only over 40 staff and workers, limited construction machinery and equipment, and weak management skills and technical expertise among its staff and workers.

Phuong Thanh Construction Company is constructing the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay section of the North-South Expressway.

Construction projects were primarily awarded through direct contracts and subcontracting. At that time, the company's revenue was only a few tens of billions of dong, and the monthly income of employees was a mere 1 million dong/month, making life extremely difficult. This was also the general situation of nearly 600 transportation businesses at that time.

Privatization, hard work, and growth.

In accordance with the Party and State's policy of equitizing enterprises, the Minister of Transport issued Decision No. 1666/QD-BGTVT dated June 3, 2004, on the conversion of the Transport Construction and Services Company into the Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

Three years later (in 2007), the company divested all state capital, free to compete on equal terms with other businesses.

At the shareholders' meeting on June 18, 2011, Tranconsin increased its charter capital from VND 15 billion to VND 32 billion and changed its name to Phuong Thanh Transportation Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company (Phuong Thanh Tranconsin) with the aspiration: "Success in every direction" Phuong Thanh Tranconsin - The path to the future. To achieve this, the members of the Phuong Thanh Tranconsin family always live and work according to the principles: "Sincerity, honesty, responsibility, and efficiency".

In 2014, marking 10 years since its equitization, the company's revenue increased from approximately 100 billion VND (2004) to over 1,000 billion VND.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its equitization (June 23, 2004 - June 23, 2014), Phuong Thanh Tranconsin was awarded an excellent emulation flag by the Ministry of Transport; a banner and certificate of merit by the Vietnam Transport Workers' Union; and a certificate of merit by the Hanoi Enterprise Bloc Party Committee for being an outstanding and exemplary clean and strong Party Committee.

In 2015, Phuong Thanh Transportation Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company and its General Director, Pham Van Khoi, were awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Breakthroughs in transportation infrastructure development.

Starting as a construction company, and aiming to create a breakthrough in its development and brand positioning, in 2014, the company's leadership, headed by the Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and General Director Pham Van Khoi, made the bold decision to participate as an investor in the Phap Van - Cau Gie BOT project. This was followed by the Ha Long - Van Don BOT project and the Bach Dang Bridge BOT project.

Phuong Thanh Tranconsin also owns three subsidiary companies: Phap Van - Cau Gie BOT Joint Stock Company; Thuan Phat Mining Exploitation One-Member Limited Company; and Poki Tan Asia Education and Training Joint Stock Company.

With its reputation, capabilities, and experience, over the years, Phuong Thanh Tranconsin has been one of the transportation enterprises chosen by the Government, the Ministry of Transport, and investors to participate in the construction of the most expressway projects, notably the Tien Yen - Mong Cai expressway, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, and the eastern sections of the North-South expressway: Mai Son - National Highway 45, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay… which have already been put into operation.

Currently, the Phuong Thanh Tranconsin brand is present in a number of other important national projects such as: the North-South Expressway sections Vung Ang - Bung and Van Phong - Nha Trang; the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway; the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway...
