For over a decade, he has been actively involved in village affairs.

At over 60 years old, when many people are enjoying a peaceful life with their children and grandchildren, Mrs. Pham Thi Hoc, from La Nac hamlet, La Bang commune, is still diligently involved in village affairs. Over the years, she has held various positions in the locality, including more than 10 years as both the Party branch secretary and the head of the hamlet's Fatherland Front committee – two seemingly heavy responsibilities for a woman in her sixties, yet she has successfully fulfilled them, contributing to noticeable changes in her hometown.

The people of La Nạc hamlet affectionately call Mrs. Học "the woman of the movement." Anything related to the community, from campaigning for land donations, building roads, constructing a cultural center, to encouraging villagers to adopt technological advancements in production and livestock farming, bears her mark. For her, "trust with the people" is more important than anything else, and it is the driving force behind her continued dedication.

Just in the period from 2019 to 2024, the figures speak volumes about Ms. Hoc's efforts. Thanks to her mobilization and the efforts of local officials and Party members, the people of La Nac donated 2,500 square meters of land and nearly 2,000 meters of fence to expand more than 2 kilometers of 6-meter-wide concrete roads, pave nearly 1 kilometer of internal field roads with concrete, and build a spacious cultural center on a 3,200 square meter plot.

It all started with community meetings, where Mrs. Hoc patiently explained and persuaded each household and each individual. In every activity, she not only spoke but also directly participated with the people in every step, earning their admiration and trust.

During a conversation, we asked, "What keeps you strong and patient enough to shoulder the responsibilities of the village for so many years?" Mrs. Hoc smiled and replied, "Actually, I don't think too much about it. I just believe that if the people trust me, I have to live up to their expectations. The greatest reward is the affection the villagers have for me. Every time I see a road completed or a project put into use, and everyone is happy, I feel happy too."

Besides contributing to rural infrastructure development, Ms. Hoc also has a firm grasp of production targets, persistently encouraging villagers to plant new rice varieties, cultivate high-yield crops, and apply scientific and technical methods for efficient livestock farming. Environmental sanitation, keeping fields free of disease, and timely disease prevention—these seemingly trivial tasks were repeatedly emphasized and persistently addressed by her until they became a habit for the entire village.

Mrs. Pham Thi Hoc was always simple and friendly with the people in the neighborhood.

What earns the people's respect for Ms. Hoc is not only her dedication but also her exemplary conduct in "matching words with actions," always proactive in all activities, whether public or private. Ms. Hoc confided: "Being trusted by the people means I must live even more exemplarily. If a Party member is wrong, who will listen anymore? The people will only listen if they respect you."

For the villagers, Mrs. Hoc's image is synonymous with sincerity and dedication. Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, a resident of La Nac hamlet, shared: "There were difficult tasks that no one dared to undertake, but Mrs. Hoc always took the lead. She spoke little but did much, so the people trusted her. From donating land for roads to contributing labor to building the cultural center, we all followed Mrs. Hoc's advice."

Thanks to the strong unity and solidarity, the material and spiritual lives of the people in La Nạc hamlet have improved significantly. 100% of the roads in the hamlet have been paved with concrete and hardened. The percentage of households achieving the "Cultural Family" status annually consistently exceeds 95%. To date, the hamlet has only 2 poor households remaining…

These achievements are largely due to the contributions of Ms. Pham Thi Hoc, who has consistently received commendations from various levels since 2019, and whose La Nac Party Branch has consistently performed its duties excellently for many years.

Although she temporarily stepped down from her duties as Party branch secretary and head of the village's Fatherland Front committee at the beginning of 2025 due to health reasons, the image of this petite, simple woman, who persistently went from street to street, calling out to each house to mobilize support for the common good, has become a familiar memory for the people of La Nạc...
