According to TechUnwrapped , for many years, Huawei used Honor as its budget smartphone brand. However, after US sanctions took effect, Huawei decided to sell Honor to a group of Chinese technology companies.
Huawei proudly claims the P60 Pro is the smartphone with the best camera on DxOMark.
This decision allows Honor to establish partnerships with US companies and restore access to Google apps for new devices. These phones are also equipped with 5G chips and all the technologies banned for Huawei. While many thought Honor and Huawei still had a close relationship, a recent tweet from Honor suggests otherwise.
Specifically, in a tweet posted by Honor on Twitter to promote its top-of-the-line smartphone, the Magic5 Pro, to users worldwide , among the features highlighted, they emphasized that it comes equipped with Android-designed applications from Google. This tweet came shortly after Huawei launched its new flagship devices in Europe, the P60 Pro and Mate X3 – smartphones that had been first introduced in China a month earlier. The highlight of the Huawei P60 Pro is its leading position in DxOMark's mobile photography rankings – a spot previously held by Honor's Magic5 Pro a few months prior.
It's normal for phone manufacturers to mock each other, and Honor's action targets the limitations faced by Huawei smartphone users. It remains to be seen how Huawei will react to this provocation and whether the P60 Pro can attract European consumers even without Google apps.
