Hue releases 9 Javan pangolins back into their natural habitat.
On April 22nd, Bach Ma National Park (Hue City) announced that it had successfully released nine Javan pangolins back into their natural habitat in collaboration with Save Vietnam's Wildlife and Cuc Phuong National Park.

Javan pangolins have been returned to the wild.
According to Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan from the Wildlife Rescue, Conservation and Development Center - Bach Ma National Park, these pangolins were all rescued from illegal hunting and trafficking incidents. Before being released, all of them underwent quarantine, care, rehabilitation, and close monitoring by a team of technical staff and veterinarians to ensure they were in good health for their return to the green forest.

The Javan pangolin belongs to Group IB – a group of endangered, rare, and precious species prioritized for protection under Vietnamese law. Any illegal hunting, trading, or transportation of this species will be severely punished according to the law and may result in criminal prosecution.
