From April 8 to April 4, 18, the free surgery program for children with cleft lip and palate deformities nationwide takes place in Thua Thien Hue province. It is expected that during the 10 days of the program, the Interplast volunteer surgery team will perform surgery on about 80 unlucky children with birth defects in the maxillofacial area. This is a humanitarian activity that contributes to bringing smiles and confidence to children in difficult circumstances who cannot afford surgery.

Dr. Doctor. Nguyen Hong Loi, Director of the Center for Dentistry, Hue Central Hospital, said that in addition to free surgery, experts also organize scientific exchanges, update maxillofacial plastic surgery and participate in training for young surgeons at the Center. The two sides also discussed and planned to deploy specialized techniques in bone orthopedics and bone grafting for children with deformities in the coming years.
