To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the evening of April 25th at the Thanh Hoa Exhibition, Fair and Advertising Center, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other relevant units, organized the exhibition "Thanh Hoa - 70 Years with the Dien Bien Phu Victory".

The cultural performance recreated the image of cargo bicycles during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Seventy years ago, under the brilliant and wise leadership of the Party, headed by President Ho Chi Minh , our army and people waged the decisive strategic battle of Dien Bien Phu, crushing the Dien Bien Phu stronghold of the French army and achieving a victory that "shook the world and resonated across continents." The Dien Bien Phu victory marked a great turning point, creating a golden chapter in the history of our nation's struggle for national liberation and defense, and successfully concluding the resistance war against French colonial aggression.

The exhibition displays and introduces to officials, Party members, and people of all walks of life in the province nearly 300 documentary photos, historical artifacts, documentary films, and more than 300 books and publications about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and Thanh Hoa's connection with the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The exhibition, "Thanh Hoa - 70 Years with the Dien Bien Phu Victory," is presented in three parts: Part 1 is "Dien Bien Phu - A Historical Rendezvous"; Part 2 is "Thanh Hoa and the Dien Bien Phu Campaign"; and Part 3 is "The Echoes of Dien Bien Phu."

The exhibition aims to widely disseminate to cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people the significance, scale, and historical value of the Dien Bien Phu Victory to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause and the world. It also affirms the immense contribution of the Party Committee and people of Thanh Hoa province as a major rear base for the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Former youth volunteers and young officers together examine precious pages about the infinitely beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
Through this, we aim to awaken pride and express profound gratitude to the generations of ancestors who dedicated and sacrificed themselves for the great revolutionary cause of the nation; contribute to educating cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people, especially the younger generation, about patriotic and revolutionary traditions; and inspire aspirations to contribute to building a prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern homeland.
The exhibition runs until May 9, 2024.
