Prosperous thanks to Agarwood

Agarwood tree, also known as Agarwood, is a precious tree because of its ability to form a special type of wood called Agarwood. In the past, Agarwood mainly grew naturally in the forest but has been cultivated and exploited by the people of Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province. For many years, the people of the mountainous area here have become rich quickly from this precious tree.

Introduction: Located in the mountains and forests of Huong Khe, Ha Tinh province, Phuc Trach agarwood craft village is not only famous for its tradition of growing and processing agarwood, but also a model of combining economic development and cultural value preservation. With high economic value, agarwood helps the people of Phuc Trach develop the economy and get rich on their homeland. Each year, revenue from agarwood brings about 100 billion VND to the people of Phuc Trach commune. Currently, more than 90% of the households in the commune grow agarwood. Many households participate in purchasing and producing products from agarwood. The processing of agarwood in Phuc Trach commune has been recognized as a craft village by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.
