Prosperity thanks to Agarwood

Agarwood, also known as agarwood tree, is a valuable tree due to its ability to form a special type of wood called agarwood. Previously, agarwood trees mainly grew naturally in forests, but they have been cultivated and harvested by people in the mountainous areas of Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province. For many years now, the people in these mountainous areas have become wealthy rapidly from this valuable tree.

Introduction: Nestled amidst the mountains and forests of Huong Khe, Ha Tinh province, Phuc Trach agarwood village is not only famous for its tradition of cultivating and processing agarwood, but also serves as a model for combining economic development with the preservation of cultural values. With its high economic value, agarwood trees have helped the people of Phuc Trach develop their economy and prosper in their homeland. Each year, the revenue from agarwood trees brings the people of Phuc Trach commune approximately 100 billion VND. Currently, over 90% of households in the commune cultivate agarwood. Many households participate in purchasing and producing products from agarwood trees. The agarwood processing industry in Phuc Trach commune has been recognized as a traditional craft village by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.
